hi all looking to buy a couple of Grasmere Double Old Fashioned Whisky Tumbler (Second Quality). their are listed for 44GBP on the factory seconds however want to sting you for 233GBP to ship to Australia. has anyone got a better way they know of to not pay such steep shipping. I am use to paying a little bit more for things being in Australia but that is just ridicules!!!!

The postage costs are crazy. I had to pay £15 to get mine delivered in the UK! They also didn't tell me there was a 4-6 waiting time when I ordered but this was speeded up considerably when I complained. The flaw in my one was pretty obvious but overall I'm happy enough.

The items and the shipping are expensive (although £233 shipping is crazy!), but the crystalware is beautiful and well worth its cost. I don't want to go off topic, but I would like to say that I had an issue with a seconds quality item I bought from them and their customer service was absolutely outstanding. They went way, way above and beyond to resolve the problem, so in my experience they're a great company to buy from.

Good luck and I hope you find a way to get the glasses to Australia for a more reasonable price!

I was lucky enough to buy a perfect example off a fellow forum member a little while back.

Truly an outstanding piece of workmanship and well worth getting one if not two.

It certainly makes the whisky taste that much better. I am terrified of breaking it though so I've only used it twice lol! -{

I bought from them three glasses.
They were well packed and arrived in a huge box.
This is probably the reason why postage is expensive.

I ordered two and they are due to arrive tomorrow! Will post picture if you'd like. Cost and certainly shipping (to USA) was very high, but bit the bullet, and I'm really looking forward to putting them to good use!

Well the glasses arrived as promised. Extremely well packaged (as they should be for such incredible shipping cost). They are fantastic! Beautiful work of art for sure. Nice and heavy, just stunning. I did spring for the first quality run as I told myself it would more justify the shipping (Hey, I can rationalize nearly anything), which is another reason I ordered two instead of one!
Of course at the end of the day, it's the Bond/CR connection that inspired me to pull the trigger as I already had 4 crystal tumblers that were also exceptional. Hope this helps, if only a bit.

In the photos, please excuse the dust/mess as my Scottish housekeeper is on holiday!
