Just saw this photo of Twin Peaks (or The Hidden!) star Kyle MacLachlan at Sundance. It looks like he or his stylist is a fan of the new Bond wardrobe...

1/2 armholes means a circumference of 40cm on size 46 I don't know how big your arms are but I think it should fit the average person
and I don't know exactly if its really measured at the armholes or in the middle of the sleeve itself, guess the 2nd but they told me "armholes"

I don't think it's actually the armhole but the bicep area.

That makes much more sense. Thanks also Noi for sharing the size chart :)

Wahey! Pop open the Dom Perignon! Had a cheque, yes a cheque (!) for £2.50 from HMRC today - rebate for overcharging me on the RGT jacket.

Now I’ve just got to find a bank that hasn’t been closed to deposit the bloody thing...

No just printed and filled in the form and supplied copies of evidence the form asked you as best you can.
Also I wrote a letter explaining I thought it was too much.
Got a reply within 7 days with explanation of charges and a refund of £30 which takes about 10 days from receiving the letter.
I see Ferinstal has put the link on
    good luck

Managed to get back £30 so not bad considering.
Guys if you've been overcharged too its worth the stamp.
    Chris

Do you have the thread post number? I was charged £100 vat and duty which I swallowed but something makes me think I missed a trick here (and a post)

Did you get a VAT refund?

    Cheers :007)

    Thanks and much appreciated!

    Large 45 cm

    Xxl 47 cm

Considering the chest measurements i'm surprised at how narrow the shoulder measurements are :#

These measurements meaningfully impact size considerations for this blouson. I believe the chest measurement is now the least important given the style of the jacket.

    Hey gents,

For what its worth to anyone, I took all the details from the Brunello Cucinelli shirt and had David Mason make me a shirt. While its not an exact copy detail for detail, I think its a decent alternative for less than half the price of the SA one.

    Denim blue twill fabric
Classic button down collar - I selected longer collar points as I simply like the look
    2 button mitered cuff
    Placket
    Box Pleat Back
Slightly clear/white mother of pearl buttons

I use itailor - you can customise with them online they have always been great at amendments if you email them a specific request. They did me a cracking pair of the Thunderball shirts and a great Bahamas one from Casino. Price are good. The trick is to do measurements carefully

not my style but for those collectors who wanna own every detail might that be interesting:

"The seventh new James Bond-inspired Swatch is yet to be unveiled. It has been designed alongside Suttirat Anne Larlarb, costume designer for No Time To Die, and will only to be offered in limited numbers.

The watch features in the upcoming film and is worn by Q, played by Ben Whishaw.

The new Swatches will be available from late February..."

I've put together all the info from the Connolly size charts and added conversion to inches for those of us in the US who are metric challenged.

Exactly as I suspected , they do have a boxy fit. It was clear on DC’s.

I was never sold on this jacket (overpriced & doesn’t compare to previous films casual jackets in terms of style or versatility) and now the boxy fit makes me distant myself even more.

I might just pull the trigger on the MA duster coat :)

Still hoping for some more cool casual outfits in the movie that we have yet to see.

I appreciate the conversion but I'm still confused how the shoulders are so narrow unless they're measuring the bottom part of the shoulder and not the upper. I'd hate to buy this jacket and not be able to exchange it as they're only making 150 of them :#

It’s certainly confusing. I’m a EU 52 with broad shoulders and Maximos advised me to buy the large.

    Two thoughts, though:

    1. This isn’t a new jacket for Connolly, as I understand it. They’ve made it in different colors out of different fabrics. Some intrepid AJBer could probably find one of the other iterations and do some measuring....

    2. It’s not like your purchase here is final sale. There will be size swapping, no doubt, so exchanges are likely to be possible. Plus you can always return for a refund. Connolly initially overcharged me by including VAT and when I asked for a refund they couldn’t have been nicer or faster. I got my refund within 24 hours.

I think the worry is that since only prob 20-30 of each size etc that exchanging wont be possible for a likely sold out jacket.

I was told by someone who called Connolly that they have had people try to buy 10-15 at a time and they had to put a stop to it due to high demand (and likely aware of flippers)

They offer a refund within 14 days but a size-exchange is only possible if there is stock available they said.
I don't know if they have sold the 150 pieces already, if not (hard to believe) a size-exchange should be possible
but who knows, I conacted them 1-2 weeks after their "pre –order purchase"-mail and it was still no problem to order one

as mentioned before they probably measured the front-shoulders which are always smaller than the back-shoulders, but I'm not sure about that

I agree that they must have measured across the front shoulders. I measured my large Mango budget alternative that way by comparison and it lines up with the dimensions of the Connolly.

Based on the measurements i was thinking a large but i may get an x-large as linen does not stretch plus i can always get it tailored down a bit. This is way more confusing than it needs to be :s

The shoulder measurement is across the back from shoulder to shoulder, not along the top. There are two ways to measure shoulders on a garment and it depends on construction.

For the Giubbino, consider measuring a typical denim trucker jacket. The construction of a denim jacket is such that you can measure from shoulder to should across the top. But you can also measure the seam that comprises the top of the back panel, which also goes from shoulder to shoulder, but more across the scapulae. If you take the second measurement (which some here have suggested could also the the front measurement of the shoulders), you'll find a smaller measurement than if you measure across the top.

I believe the Giubbino measurement is the lower-down-the-shoulders measurement: see image below from Maximos:
