As requested, here are my measurements of the Medium.
When the garment is flat and the tape is lined up precisely, my jacket measures nearly identically to the posted measurements on Maximos’s chart.
Any variations are too slight to mention.
Hope this helps.
Just to clarify... in my pics, the tape is resting on the garment. But when you properly stretch the garment (not overstretch), the measurements are as per the chart.
The linen contracts and the cotton expands so you can't measure properly without ensuring that the extremes of your measurement points are taught.
in any case, just wanted to say this plainly as the images will show variation in the tape measurement number relative to my statements.
Setting aside the tailoring they would have done on the jacket Craig wears, to my eye his torso is slightly longer in proportion to his body than on many people. This means that some of his shirts and jackets look different on him than on other people.
Unfortunately I have the opposite situation, my torso is slightly shorter than most people my height. This was fine many years ago when jackets, shirts, and sweaters were made to be worn with higher waisted pants. Now, most of those clothes look too long on me when I buy them off the rack.
This is one of the reasons that it irks me when people review clothing and say that a certain size "fits perfectly". There are so many measurements in total that any two men the same height and even weight can look quite different when wearing the same size item of clothing.
All to say, if I ever want to buy an item of clothing online I try to make sure the provider can give me all of the measurements before I pull the trigger. I do that even when there are size charts.
but even on DC the Jacket looks short, don't you think this is the style of the jacket?
I really have problems with the Sleeve-Length (okay I'm about 6'5'' )) I often have that problem but never on a XXL which I own. There is cloth inside the sleeve (about 3cm) to make them longer but I don't want to let this jacket altered because of the limited run. difficult decision.
and as mentioned before: the jacket is overprized af, I only can hope that this item becomes the Mr White Dior Jacket of NTTD and gets some screen-time
I sleep about it, try it on in the next days and make a decision if I keep the jacket or not, its nice to have but not a must have for me, maybe you have to hit the 50 to look good it in, the only way that jacket works for me is unbuttoned with rasied collar (and with better matching buttons)

Based on your measurements your jacket is coming up a little short as the Medium has a pit to pit of 59cm. Converting that according to the chart means it should be 23.22 inches so the overall full chest is short by about 2.5 inches. Everything else is pretty close but i think the margins are close enough that it may make or break the fit for some people. I did speak to Maximos and requested that if i am going to exchange for another XL or even a XXL that i want the jacket measured before i send mine in for exchnage. I also advised him that others have had variations in their jackets and ee advised me that the jackets in theory should match the sizing chart 8-)
I hate to go around bursting bubbles, but I also noticed that the new Massimo Alba Rain Duster Coat that is being shipped out to people via special order and the second run that was on their website is not screen accurate either...
These companies just don't have an eye for detail.
Whats different on the MA duster coat? Curious to know as I was thinking of getting it.
The original Massimo Alba Duster had 2 buttons at the cuffs that were a smaller size, the reissue have a single button at the cuff and it's a larger button. (A relatively easy fix, just annoying that you would have to) Come to think of it, it actually wouldn't be that easy because Massimo Alba only gives you 2 replacement buttons with the garment, 1 is the large size and 1 is the smaller size.
No Time To Die has to be setting some kind of record for reproduced items of Screen Inaccuracy.
I am a 39" chest, 5'9" and the medium fits me well. I really like it - but I liked it when Simon Crompton originally featured it - and can see it getting a lot of wear here in California. It is a short jacket, but intentionally so.

I received my Connolly Bond jacket 20 minutes ago, and I certainly got the wrong size. This jacket is not for tall people. Before I return it to Connolly, I will offer it to anyone on here who would like to purchase a size M.
Asking price is what Connolly asks. No more, no less. Thanks
Not sure if this helps but it is supposed to give off a cropped retro look if that makes any difference with the fit.
Hi guys! Changing topic a moment. I don't remember if the trousers that Bond wears during the V8's unveiling have been identified. They seem too slim fitted to be the same he sports during the Norway scenes -but I could be wrong.

I remember a member much earlier on in this thread mentioned that they had spoken to Rag and Bone to which they said they had sent some dark-colored jeans to the costume production. If that member could repost that comment that'd be much appreciated.

Thanks for the thorough response! That's strange and disappointing because by the looks of it they've replicated both the sloop suit and trousers correctly.

The actual pit to pit of my jacket is just over 23”. I couldn’t stretch it out and shoot the pics. At 23” I’m not stressing the closure. So yes, pretty close.
I can’t see anywhere that the coat is still available, does anyone have a link for some closer inspection?
Picture link 1 shows the duster coat that I believe to be the SA. There are extra buttons on the sleeves for the adjusters and there are extra buttons on the underside of the collar and tab closure on collar. Picture link 2 is my duster coat that does not include the extra buttons on the sleeves or the extra buttons on underside and does not include tab collar closure either.
I had not noticed these differences until pointed out on this thread. I am disappointed that these brands are shortcutting the reproduction of these garments. First the Connolly buttons issue and now this with MA. I don't intend on purchasing the N. Peal sweater but seen how big a deal the patch issue was for others on this forum.

I bought mine from Mr Porter so I would be interested to know if anyone bought direct from MA and have the same discrepencies as mine. The tab collar missing is a piss take, the extra buttons on the sleeves not so big a deal IMO!
I've checked the MA label card that came with the coat and it says RAIN2 coat which is the same one advertised on the MA website - disappointing! Anyone with an order pending from MA will want to double check this.

Like I said, hate to point that stuff out, but I'm sure it will come out sooner or later.
I don't think there are any clear shots of the duster's cuffs in the trailers...I'm making excuses for MA now, but the only way I can see them justifying not having the tab collar and only having one button on the cuffs is if that's how the coat was tailored for NTTD...which is doubtful.
All of these discrepancies we are witnessing are partially due to giving DC so much creative freedom in the custom department
The problem is that Daniel picked out so many items from smaller brands that already produce limited inventory to begin with ( at least a year and a half ago ) So I can imagine it is very difficult for these brands to go back through the same exact factories in such a short notice and reproduce the same exact thing in larger quantities at manageable cost. Therefore inconsistency makes sense since they had to go through cheaper manufacturers who can mass produce this and still keep their cost low. The only unacceptable exception was N Peal
Overall clothings we’ve seen so far are screaming DANIEL CRAIG and not James Bond (Tom Ford suits are the obvious exception)

I'm looking for some advice on the Massimo Alba Sloop Suit. I have seen some great reviews and pictures of the suit which have changed my opinion. I wasn't sure if it was something I would normally go for but seeing some the pictures on this forum, I must admit that I have grown to really like it. I have a few questions around the sizing and availability. I normally take between a UK 38/40 S (short) in suits. I see with Massimo Alba they appear to only offer a regular length version of the suit. For those that have the suit how does the length of the suit compare to other suits? I have read the info by Matt S regarding tailoring corduroy and don't want to unnecessarily ruin the suit having too much tailored. I am fortunate that I am based in Rome and can get any tailoring completed by Massimo Alba in store. My other question is regarding availability. I checked the website a few days ago and it stated the suit is no longer available but I am assuming I can contact Alessandro for clarification? Apologies if this already been discussed but I couldn't find any threads.

I was ‘on the fence’ about the suit but after I saw it ‘in person’ (actually in the Rome store in Jan), I bought it. Really, really like it. It will be a great casual suit that I can see myself wearing a lot through the spring / summer.
Regarding sizing, I normally take a Long fit in suits. The Matera fits just fine but is definitely a R, rather than a Long fit as far as I can tell.
As you are in Rome I would definitely suggest going to the store when they are open again. Frederica and Stefano will be able to give you the best advice.
And there is no rush. Last email I had from Alessandro was that they have had to stop all production / deliveries until 13th April at the earliest.

Do we know if these are jeans or trousers? There's a pic where he's walking with Fukunaga on set and those appear to be black trousers/chinos.

It looks nice. But I don't like the front pockets that much or the drawstring. Nor the price. Still it's something I would wear.
The front pockets are not something i would ever use but the jacket has nothing inside of it except a branding tag, size info and fabric content.
