Nope, Vuarnets! A French brand, of all things. Though I admit, my first pair of high(er) end sunglasses were the Vuarnet cat-eyes from the mid to late 1970's. I loved them to be honest though. I bought two pairs of the ones in the Jamaica pictures that were leaked or whatever, by accident. I wanted the exact sunglasses and accidentally ordered a pair with black frames and brown lenses, then after I had been sent the black framed pair, I went back to the website and ordered the correct brown framed sunglasses. I hope that I can return the black framed ones. We'll see. The website I got them from sold the sunglasses for $100 USD less than anywhere in the USA, so for that price shouldn't complain.
If anyone wants the website it's: eyeworldmarket.com I believe they are located in France and are quite responsive in their customer care. I recommend them to anyone searching for the Daniel Craig worn sunglasses from the Jamaica shooting photographs.

In the vlog Zane Olive mentions shipping an unspecified Henley to the costume department. David might have more information.

Wasn't it ret-conned into CR that Bond was former SAS? I could have sworn the bulk that Craig displayed was explained as being former SAS, who "looked like he could kill someone"?
If so, why would he wear a Navy uniform?

I seem to recall SAS as well, of course SBS would allow to use a Royal Navy uniform.

It was definitely SBS. Vesper quips “former SAS types,” but the official backstory drilled down on that.

It appears the glasses shown on the French site are the original version which the current Vuarnet glasses are based on. Here is the link for the screen accurate glasses.

    Matt-

Would you agree that Hugo Boss is essentially equivalent to Tom Ford. Not the lesser lines like the Orange, but Hugo Boss suits, etc.?

When the Tom Ford grey jeans showed up, I liked the outfit, as I wear casual clothes far more than suits, however TF jeans are ridiculously expensive. I bought a nice pair of Hugo Boss grey jeans for $150. To me, $150-$200 is a reasonable price to pay for a quality pair of jeans. I will wear them for 3 or 4 years, so it makes sense in the long run. Of course it used to be you could buy a pair of Levi's 501 STF jeans and find quality for a very reasonable price. Now even 501 jeans are poorly made and cost too much for what they are, honestly. Since that's the case, I'll pay for Scotch & Soda or Hugo Boss, but Tom Ford casual wear is often over priced, ridiculously over priced. I wonder how TF will fare after the Craig Bond series ends, it could be interesting. I suppose TF is "making hay while the sun shines." LOL!

    Best regards~

Money no issue, I'd definitely buy some TF pieces.

The Tom Ford suits are reasonably priced for what they are. The rest of the clothes are definitely overpriced. I don't understand how a polo shirt can cost so much. Sunspel shows what a top-of-the-line polo should cost.

I would not agree in the slightest. Speaking only for the suits, a Hugo Boss suit is nothing like a Tom Ford suit. Their better suits are half-canvas and about the same level of quality as a less expensive Brooks Brothers suit. Tom Ford suits are made in a similar manner to an English bespoke suit and are very different from 99% of the ready-to-wear suits out there. They may not have as much handwork as some bespoke suits, but Tom Ford suits are amongst the best-made ready-to-wear suits. They are not like most designer suits, many of which cost the same as Tom Ford but are made as poorly as a Hugo Boss suit.

    AJB J-

I was going by the photos of Daniel Craig from Jamaica and from the description provided by our friend, David Zaritsky, of The Bond Experience.

I do not know if they will be worn on the screen or not, regardless, I liked the Tommy Bahama Camp Twill shirt in black, the grey Tom Ford jeans (which I replaced with Hugo Boss grey jeans. I like Hugo Boss clothing very much and have been wearing it for years, as it lasts quite a while and is roughly $500 less expensive than Tom Ford jeans. I added the Sperry Rivington Topsiders, that I bought from Dillard's for a whopping $99.00 and they're more comfortable than all of my other Sperry Topsiders put together.) I have always liked Vuarnets and because I have a medical issue that requires me to wear sunglasses 24x7x365, I figured another pair of well made sunglasses can't hurt, especially when the price I have seen in the US is $240 and I picked up the matte brown with the brown lenses, which is what Craig is wearing in the photos, for $139. That's a very good price for Vuarnets and there's a discount coupon when ordering there, I think it's 10% off.

I just wanted to pass it on that there was a place to buy the Vuarnets should anyone want to pick them up. Now that I am thinking about it, Craig's stunt double was wearing a pair of the matte brown framed, brown lens Vuarnets in at least one photo that I can recall. I know that still doesn't guarantee they'll be in the film, though I think it increases the likelihood significantly, don't you? AJB J?

    Best regards all!

Hi no picks but on David’s vlog the manager of Billy Reid in NY said they’d supplied Henley’s for bond 25. Looking on line the blue and black look great expect I’ll get them regardless but would be cool if they were in the film

So I was at the Tom Ford London boutique on Friday afternoon (was trying to catch up with David Zaritsky and his gang on their London tour). Anyway, saw a suit that had just been delivered to the store a few days ago, now this is the caveat, this is not officially confirmed as the same suit that DC wears in the London M scenes, but from the pics it looks very close:

    1169.jpg

    1168.jpg

Also, following Tailors with Love podcast on the suit, and its comparison with the glen plaid suit from FRWL, got me thinking. Below is my take on the suit using the Goldfinger glen plaid suit from Anthony Sinclair, and using the navy blue tie from Spectre to try and recreate the suit, it's close (minus the tie clip):

I will admit that the Tom Ford Prince of Wales check is far more prominent than the Anthony Sinclair, but nonetheless a good close alternative.

The fabric looks like it could be a match, but the suit in your picture has a ticket pocket, and Daniel Craig's does not.
