I've been pretty disappointed in the overall wardrobe for Bond 25 and I can see that DC probably has had way too much involvement in the outfits. Other than the suits which are a big outlay for most people the other pieces really aren't worth while investments. I did purchase the Sperrys, Croakies and Vuarnet sunglasses from the Jamaica outfit and may get the Tommy Bahama shirt but I couldn't justify the Tom Ford pants especially at retail :s Hopefully there will be better outfits but if not that just means more money to buy other items from prior films :D

Are you going for the grey or the navy pow?

Just thinking about the outfits we've seen so far and comparing the number to Skyfall and SPECTRE. By my count we've seen the following for NTTD (in no particular order):

    1. Grey PoW suit
    2. Navy PoW suit
    3. Massimo Alba Corduroy suit
    4. The blue Matera chore jacket
    5. Tommy Bahama/Tom Ford jeans
    6. T-shirt and swim shorts

And that's possibly Bond wearing the sand colored Billy Reid jacket. So six, maybe seven outfits in total so far.

    In SF:
    1. Istanbul suit
    2. Enjoying Death look
    3. The MI6 track suit with the Adidas
    4. First London suit (also worn with the top coat)
    5. Orlebar Brown swim suit (not sure if this one really counts)
    6. Shanghai Billy Reid Peacoat look
    7. Tom Ford dinner jacket
    8. Second London suit
    9. Scotland Barbour look
    10. Navy Finale suit (again worn with a top coat)

    In SPECTRE:
    1. Day of the Dead costume (not sure this should count)
    2. Mexico City suit
    3. Meeting with M suit and coat
    4. Rome 3 piece suit
    5. Meeting Mr. White Dior Jacket
    6. Solden outfit
    7. Matchless Morocco outfit
    8. White dinner jacket
    9. Cucinelli Morocco Look
    10. Blofeld hideout navy suit
    11. Varvatos jacket London finale outfit
    12. Finale suit

    I feel like I'm missing a couple ...

Anyway, if the past two films are anything to go by, I think we'll still have somewhere around 2 to 5 additional looks we haven't seen yet. Of course that's just speculation. But maybe the most concerning thing is that SF and SP only had 3 to 5 "casual" looks each (depends on if you consider the Shanghai and Morocco Cucinelli looks "casual" I guess, since he was wearing a tie). And so far we've seen 4 (possibly five) casual looks from NTTD. Maybe all that's left are a couple of suits and the dinner jacket?

Also another look at the watch, which really does just look like the one in Skyfall and Spectre.

To be honest I actually quite like this outfit but I think that's just because it's pretty normal clothes :))
Bond should probably be better somehow than a navy jacket, white henley and taupe chinos with brown boots but it's solidly better than what most people wear regardless.

...DC does Button the top button hole... :#
So Massimo Alba suit arrived. It’s size 52 and I’m normally a 50, so slightly large and probably adds to boxy look. In any event, think you might need a very good physique under the jacket, to make this look decent.C
It’s a casual unstructured suit. Material is light weight, so for example the SPECTRE BC Morocco trousers are a heavier cloth.

Some photos below of suit (return labels still attached on lapel) with Drakes Crosby Mocs and an attempt at the blue shirt/ tie combo. (No idea whether shirt collar is button down, but closest colour I have.)

Let’s hope DC does not button the top button hole as in last photo and as stunt man did on the bridge.

Usual issues with photographs and colours of fabrics, so it can look quite different depending on exposure.

Those who have bought the separate jacket: cut, colour code, all other codes the same, just described as model CATCH, instead of the suit which is described as SLOOP.
    7-E8-DC1-F9-D1-D2-4-C21-BA25-8-F6-E1-B4-B095-E.jpg

My conclusion: it’s not an item I would buy without the Bond connection. Colour will work for DC, as with SPECTRE matchless jacket, but not great for me. As a heavily discounted sale item purchase, I’ll keep the 52 and have it tailored (shoulders are 18 inch across which is a standard 50 measurement, even if bulky elsewhere, so should be relatively easy to get fit sorted). Still question though, whether it will look any good on me!

Looks more like Harvey Specter than James Bond. They seem to be trying to make Bond more trendy. Its a look that will date very quickly. Bond has always gone for the classic look and it should stay that way.

I think just the fit of the trousers is trendy, a short sleeve henley is pretty classic.

I'm down with the taupe pants, brown suede boots, and even the henley. I just think the jacket billows a little too much. It seems a bit too roomy for my taste.

This picture of the blue chore jacket reveals that it has drawstrings. It's quite a distinctive design and should be easy to identify, unless it's part of a designer's spring 2020 line.

White (or off white) short sleeve Henley's have been a popular piece of clothing for leading men in Hollywood the last few years. Like Chris Pratt in Jurassic World and Ryan Gosling in Drive. Suppose it was only a matter of time until Bond wore one.

Yes i noticed the drawstrings and have been hunting but no joy....proving harder to find than i expected. Looks like the material is linen or line/cotton blend, boxy cut field jacket.

Another picture shows two parallel seams down the back: also quite distinctive.

Hopefully, it will be linen so that everyone who's upset about Bond wearing corduroy will calm down.

I think “aggressively average” is the best way to describe NTTD’s wardrobe. It won’t be controversial, nor will it be inspirational. A few nice suits, a dinner jacket, and some forgettable casual looks. 63 pairs of sunglasses and 9 Aston Martins. Paint-by-the-numbers Bond.

I can’t shake the feeling I had before DAD.

My contact at Brunello Cucinelli says that none of the pieces of the outfit are from BC- not even the trousers.

Still feel underwhelmed and borderline dissapointed with the wardrobe. Cant see many more outfits to come and dont see anything more casual wise. Only like 1 suit so far. i keep saying to myself, that the wardrobe is circumstantial to the setting and story line but i dont see why the wardrobe cant be better than what we have?!

It just needs to be stylish and Bond right?... :s The movie wont hinge on the wardrobe, but as mentioned there has been numerous items ive had from the last 4 films and with NTTD im yet to even be slightly inspired. Just doesn't scream Bond anything casual wise and the suits are fine but not outstanding. I think we've been spoilt in Craig's previous 4 but why shouldn't we? If you were going to dress Bond wouldn't you dress him in something stylish and fitting but keeping with the character and story?? Wardrobe have every opportunity to choose from a vast supply of whatever clothes they want and get paid well for doing it and i just get a glum feeling when seeing what we've had and the opportunity that wardrobe have and seemingly not taken advantage of.

PLEEEAAASSSEEE have 1 more casual look that i can pull the trigger on, i was looking forward to something from this film and yet to come even close :#

I agree that context is a huge part of how we perceive the wardrobe. I'm not trying to defend their decisions. But I will wait until I see the different looks in action before passing final judgement. Seeing grainy photos of Craig standing around on set in a baggy corduroy suit is very different than seeing Bond running around and driving the DB5 through a beautiful Italian town with the editing done and music added, for example. Or seeing professional promo shots from the production where the details of the different pieces are clear and we can really see how they work together.

What really stood for me with the past casual looks were the jackets. The Harrington, the Y3, the Menlo, Barbour, Matchless, etc. were all pretty special imho. So I am a little disappointed that we haven't seen a jacket (yet) that captures my attention.

Well said! I am considering moonlighting as a stylist!! I am sure that a good portion of us on this forum could have chosen better clothing and styling for this movie. Maybe it will all look better on screen but some of the styling issues are schoolboy errors which no decent stylist should make.....belt braces on trousers with belt loops? top button done up on suit?

But those grainy photos of Craig standing around might be a more accurate approximation of what WE'D look like in these clothes. :p

As per my comments in post 1432 on page 58 you'll see i couldn't agree more with your view on this suit.
As you can see from my profile picture of SMQ in Thomas Crown Affair i like the POW check suit and think its the cornerstone of Bond suits and i am delighted to see a modern cut version and a return to Bond.
Casual wardrobe so far, poor IMHO.

    Totally agree on that suit -{

For some reason, I have a feeling that we will get that one spectacular outfit that we can all go nutty over and break the internet trying to find all of the pieces. Maybe that's stupidly optimistic, as we have been a bit underwhelmed so far, but I just feel like they'll hit the nail on the head with at least one - hopefully casual - outfit. There's also a part of me that wonders if maybe Rami Malek's character will steal the style spotlight, but who knows.
