There has been a couple of instagram posts supposingly from people working in the costume dept team. Not sure if that is helpful or not to ID who it is. Will look back for their names
Plus.. as it may be an unpopular commentary... not only is Tom Ford overpriced.. has anyone ever read some of his interviews.. the guy is a nut job.. I'd be fine if his name was nowhere near Bond.. his personal character is the antithesis of the actual literary Bond.. I mean... uhhhhhhh... there was this :
I realize your post is awhile back, but as I'm just coming upon this thread, let me say I agree with you.
I wonder if at some point in the future we will look back at this time and think of Tom Ford the way BMW was perceived during the Brosnan years. Crass marketing...
Someone in that post commented that Suttirat Larlarb is the costume designer on the film. A while back when Danny Boyle was still attached to the film, my cohost on my podcast mentioned her name as a possibility because of her previous work with Boyle. Looks like she stayed on after Boyle left. It's nice that EON didn't fire all of Boyle's friends.

The official press release confirmed this. Very interested to see what she brings to the table.
I see that Simon just reported on his WDW Instagram that Craig was wearing a Thom Sweeney suit this morning. That’s an interesting development. I wonder if we can read anything into it?
If you want to get the FOG X Converse shoes, but don't want to pay the premium, use the converse custom shoe builder and you can essentially get the same thing. I think the lace colour is pure white on the FOG where the custom builder shoe is more of the "natural" colour and the FOG has a loop on the back. Use the 70s high top and choose colours and options accordingly to get the look.

Already have a extra pair in size 12 if anybody wanting (USA) as I bought wrong size!
I’m hoping for the ceramic sea master on rubber like the commercial, and a planet ocean. The gmt makes sense since if he was in Jamaica he could keep track of London also, but it’s all speculation now. Does anyone remember that converse ad around casino Royale wear Craig was talking of his love of converse? I wonder if he will wear them in his retirement?

I really hope Bond doesn't wear any Converse.
Casually? He wore them three times in casino royale?
I’m thinking maybe with some orlebar brown linen pants and tee or polo before he gets back into action.
I’m thinking Connery wore them in the volcano also Moore wore them in moonraker . Really no worse than gazelles in skyfall.

I suppose it depends on which Converse but I generally dont associate Bond with the brand even if he wore them before.

True but I’m not sure there’s any casual trainer sneaker type brand to associate with bond anyway?
I’d rather see Bond wear a pair of espadrilles if that type of footwear is required. Sneakers, even the canvas variety, just seem to feel less and less stylish the older one gets.
I think Bond's semi-retirement in Jamaica would be a great opportunity to bring back some pieces from CR. Sunspel polo, (now faded) and the linen trousers would look good with some espadrilles and I think totally in character. Maybe the SF OB shorts for the inevitable "swimming in the lagoon" scene.

Exactly what I was thinking, I love espadrilles but I’m not sure if Craig’s bond would wear them?
That’s where I was thinking he’d wear Purcell’s or all stars again since they are pretty ubiquitous.
I’d dig any of those but I’m hoping for some more casual looks instead of a bunch of Tom Ford suits like spectre.
Those looked great but what I’ve loved about Craig’s and daltons bond portrayal is that the clothes can be worn without looking to costume like and the pieces mix and match well.
I still think iconic alternatives should do a mix and match of pieces post also. Like the 4 wears to wear but not focused on one item. It’s what I love to do with my pieces.

Shes pictured at the bond stage, working in Pinewood and in Norway. Looks like she is from NYC

Yup I have been thinking the same!!! Already feeling that vibe!!!
Amazing what a exotic location does for Bond. Positive vibes already )
I think it's a given that OB will be featured in Bond 25, as they now have an official connection with the series.
Great idea. Thanks Exit!

Check it out, you won’t be disappointed
High-end winter pieces in Norway (if Bond's even in those scenes)
Suits in London and maybe Italy...
