MA Suit arrived today and the Costum Dept. knows exactly what they are doing (Tie: 3,5'')

    IMG-20191231-112210-230-1.jpg

had very mixed feelings when the Suit arrived, really looking forward to it but was afraid it won't fit. (so expensive and no exchange!) but I does...maybe the jacket fits a little bit to loose if you compare it to the other Suits from DC. I don't know if I will do any change on it... I have to give it to the tailor anyway because of the brace-buttons.
the suit is gorgeous. I never thought that corduroy could feel like velvet!

regarding the gloves: there are still serveral shops in germany:

In regards to the RT jacket, I went with a medium which if I’d tried it on in a store I would have got the large, I could just about button it up but it looked too small and tight,

I worn it for around 4 hours buttoned up under another jacket when I was working on my car and it has stretched nicely, it now looked fitted instead of too small!
    No need to size up.

    Mil-Tec glove review

I can‘t believe how quick this shipping was, order was placed on Sunday night via ASMC Germany.
Maybe I‘ve got small hands, but they definitely run big; in the following pics I‘m wearing size S.

They‘re light like a feather and surely make a great pair to use at work, but I personally would choose my Mechanix over them. The „touch-function“ works well and is very practical.

I had the same reaction to mine. People are going to come around to this suit.

In terms of alterations, I had the sleeves shortened and the pants taken in at the waist, hemmed, and added the suspenders buttons. I went by the Matera photos and videos showing Craig wearing the suit much more loosely than anything since CR.

I probably won’t have any other alterations done but thought it made sense to see the suit in NTTD first so I have a better idea how Bond wears it.

I also prefer the "Mechanix" gloves, they are "slimmer" or of a thinner design to my taste.

The fact that their brand name is plastered all over the vast majority of their gloves really puts me off ever getting a pair for work, no matter how comfortable or strong they are. Glad the costume dept went with the Mil-Tec pair.

What are you guys doing for care of your new Rag & Bone henleys? i can't see dry cleaning it every time because i wear it pretty often. i have two other R&B henleys and just do machine wash cold gentle/handwash and regular dryer. this is also the first one i paid full price for.

is there something i should be doing differently?

yes and no, I was between to sizes and sized up because italian-cloth runs often a bit smaller (and its never a problem to shorten a trousers for instance). MA gave me these information and Size-Guide and they're quite accurate

Our chest measurements are taken with the part to button the jacket, not in flate.

    jacket tg.46 tg.48 tg.50 tg.52 tg.54 tg.56
    shoulders 43,5 44,8 46 47,2 48,4 50,2
    chest 56 58 60 62 64 67
    lenght 71 72 73 74 75 76

the Suit is so light! when the box arrived I thought they forgot about the goods. I put the hole suit on a scale: about 2lbs
can't wait for the summer now.
In my dreams DC wears the PB Norton to it, the Chestnut-"colour" rounds off the whole outfit but it seems they are reserved for the Matera-Romantic-Outfit, we will see...

and I really hope the Coat is out of the material!

@sruzgar I ordered both, if XL fits me and XL is too big for you I can send you the L, but as already mentioned: the gloves aren't rare you can find them in plenty of online-shops.

AW, do you take a small in the Dent's gloves?

How's the length of the fingers?

Even on Craig's large frame the suit still looks pretty slouchy. Not that its a bad thing just different then the skin tight suiting we've come to expect.

I would say they runs true to size. My hand measures 23 cm and I have a size M in the Dents James Bond gloves and the MIL-TEC gloves in M fit me very well too.

I’ve followed up with them and I’m hopeful of a swift resolution (if there is such a thing when dealing between hemispheres), based on some pleasant communication I had with the brand around the time I ordered (Dec 8).
A mild irritation in the grand scheme of life I suppose, but an irritation nonetheless. I have gently suggested some tissue paper wouldn’t go astray next time :#

They’re my first pair of Bond-gloves, so no comparison possible. For practical purposes I took the small, since I want them to fit really tight. They still provide some lateral space in the thumb but not to an extent where it would impact the overall use. Just wish they were a bit tighter around the tip of the thumb and index finger.

Just received the Maden jacket - been sold out on Amazon, so ordered from China, 3 weeks to get to the US. Usually wear XL and went up to XXL & it fits, but definitely can't gain weight lol.
Does anyone know how to break it in & loosen it up besides wearing it? I'm guessing that wearing it is the only way, but figured I'd ask anyway
