I really wanted to buy the original R&B henley but I found no shop near France so I have to buy it from the U.S.A. and with shipping and Customs it's not reasonable for just a henley......even a Bond/DC one !!!

    Sure about customs?
I ordered from the US and live in Germany. Normally I always have to pay customs, but not on this henley and I ordered it two separate times.

Yes, using Neiman Marcus or Mr Porter, the final and total price was over 200 euros :s

And if you buy directly from r&b?

Try going direct with Rag & Bone - they ship via Borderfree which means you see the final price before you buy. Same as August Walker - I didn't pay customs on this one

I bought direct from R&B and with delivery to the UK I didn’t incur these large charges some have encountered elsewhere.

Including delivery it wasn’t much more than the £115 price bought direct from R&B and no import duties.

I looked at ordering the Henley with the 15% discount but with the postage it worked out close to the price I could have paid in the Rag and Bone shop this morning.
    Yes. Considerably!

    Nick,

Out of curiousity, what size Sloop suit did your purchase? Was it the 46IT or 48IT?

    Kind regards,
    Craig

    Hi all

Just bought the sloop suit and it arrived yesterday, beautiful price and for me it’s a keeper. I am a 38 cheat and 32 waist and a perfect fit. Agree with most comments, it is indeed a very lightweight suit and will be perfect for spring summer functions.

Biggest impression though was left by Alessandro at MA, extraordinary customer service. He answered questions within an hour and even on sundays. A huge thumbs up for MA as a brand.

    Cheers

Hi, I really should read my posts, cheat and price should be chest and piece !!

Craig - hi, it was the 48, it fits comfortably in a tailored way, if that makes sense. On the basis that it is a more relaxed / comfortable style ( not in a Miami Vice way I should add )and is not lined.

If you are a 38 chest then I would go for the 48 and it should be spot on.

    Cheers

    Nickp

Finally taken delivery of my RGT jacket, complete with Stag’s season’s greetings card!

I’ve clearly put on a few pounds since Xmas as I can’t button up the large! Ah well, a good incentive to shed some weight but I can see why the general advice was to ‘size up’.

Have to say I’m really impressed with the jacket- much lighter weight than I expected and I can see it will only get better with age. My first essential purchase from NTTD hasn’t disappointed, even if Parcelforce/UK customs have left a lot to be desired.

Will do Chris and cheers - puts me in mind of Connery when he first got the Bond role and Terence Young had him sleep in a suit to get used to it :))

I think the jacket feels tight because of the rigidity of the fabric.
The measurements are exactly the same as my Levi's jacket.
I hope my RGT jacket will soften rapidly.

I live in Portland, OR where danner’s are made. Spoke to the factory store, where they have all the close outs, nicks and dings, etc.
They told me, tanicus is not coming back. SAD

    Cheverian wrote:
Unless Danner is planning on releasing these in black, I’m doubtful they made 20+ bespoke boots when they have so many comparable models in the desired color. But sure, it’s possible. Danner just doesn’t seem like kind of company (they have huge military contracts) to care about small jobs for EON. Did they even promote that Bond wore Mountain Lights in Spectre?

I’m just betting on the use of spray paint if the costume department insisted on the Tanicus in black.

Costumes are like sets in that way. Their job is to look persuasive on screen, sometimes just for a few shots, not be functional IRL.

Looks like there's some nice (semi)affordable threads in this film!

Quick q - while much attention has been focused on the RT jacket, has anyone identified/sourced the green jacket Bond wears in the trailer?

Corduroy Duster Coat from Massimo Alba, contact MA if you are interested, they have a waiting list and want to ship a special customized-version (it means that this is not an offical re-release, no exchange and so on) in february. special thanks to cederic0011 who makes that even possible
man, feb. is going to be the next christmas for ajbmembers:

yesterday was an article in a well known italian magazine "Corriere Della Sera" about MA, I can't read or speak italian language unfortunaly, maybe someone else is able to understand this, I dont have a better resolution ;-( but maybe it shares the same content with the NYTimes-Article
