Spectre tie on the left and No Time To Die Tom Ford tie on the right. Really hard to tell from the pictures but the ties or actually night and day. The one from No Time To Die is darker and a different weave all together.

Pictures look plum color but I was thinking navy, which is it?

I think, based on the background, the white balance of the photo is off. They’re navy/imperial blue

The Connolly Giubinno jacket for Spring Summer 2020 is being created as a limited edition of only 150 pieces.
The unique jacket style is a combination of a fifties bomber jacket, a lightweight safari jacket and driving blouson. The blended linen/ cotton fabric has been exclusively reproduced to celebrate the piece being worn by Daniel Craig in the new upcoming James Bond film, No Time to Die. Because there is a limited run of this material, only a small number of pieces can be made.
The linen and cotton fabric and production for this piece was completed at the same manufacturer in Northern Italy as the original Connolly Giubinno, keeping faith with the same artisanal craftsmanship. We will not be able to produce the same finish fabric and colour again.
To ensure the perfect re-fabrication of the Giubinno and to secure delivery before the film launch, we have had to manufacture this piece as a special order, outside the usual production window, which has increased the cost.
We will supply a care package with each Giubbino, to include a Connolly eco friendly dust bag, a hanger and spare buttons.
i really don't think this justifies the 40% increase so thats me out
I was fortunate enough to spend a few days in Rome last week so, having got in on the Winch 2 Grey Cords order and already on the list for the Duster Overcoat, decided to drop in to the Massimo Alba store there - well it would have been rude not to, wouldn’t it?
Gotta say, the people in the store were as friendly and as helpful as Alessandro has been to all of us via email, so much so I ended up buying a beautiful long double-breasted, velvet (Yes, Velvet!) overcoat in a reddy-brown colour that is just beautiful!
Whilst there I got talking with the excellent staff and talk turned, of course, to Mr Bond - and my dealings with Alessandro and orders!
At that, Stefano disappeared for a few moments and came back with a small folder with these beautiful A4 pieces of artwork in them! He told me that there were ONLY TWO SETS IN EXISTENCE - one in the Milan store and the one I saw in Rome.
Now clearly, loving a challenge, I spent the next 15 minutes bartering with them about how much did I have to spend with them to get hold of the pictures! But, unfortunately, he stuck to his guns as he said he would be in a lot of trouble if he let them go.
He was kind enough to let me quickly take these pictures of them so you could all see them. Apologies for the shadows on the corners but the array of overhead lights in the store made it impossible for me to photograph them without my hand/phone on some part of the print - and I was trying to work quickly as other customers came in.
I hope you enjoy taking a look. I would just ask you all to respect the exceptional service that Alessandro and the Massimo Alba company have provided us with so far, so PLEASE DO NOT BOMBARD ALESSANDRO OR THE STORES WITH REQUESTS/OFFERS FOR THE PICTURES. Honestly, they are not letting them go anywhere, certainly at the moment! Anywhoooo...

Perhaps I am splitting hairs, but “night and day”?? They are both dark blue repp ties. True, the color is a little different, and the ribbing is a bit wider on the NTTD tie, but these are fairly subtle details. That said, appreciate the information. It’s always fun to peak behind the curtain.
David, any more information about the other tie worn with the blue PoW check suit?
Wow, now that is a good story, thanks for sharing and for taking the pictures. Can you imagine a few of those framed in your office, woof, I'd say that is a Bond memory for life.

A few rumours that the shirt is actually next season, was there any confirmation on what one this actually was please?
I didn’t even ask about the shirt as I’m not actually taken with that particular look! Never even considered it was / is a Massimo Alba.
Apologies to you all - had a David Z / Matt S been in my place, I am sure they would have been able to ask all the right questions and got into the detail of all of the outfits. And I mean that in absolutely every positive way for all of the hard work that David / Matt and their ilk do to provide use with their incredible insights!
Me...I was like a kid in the candy store when the shop owner brought out the secret tray of sweets that nobody had ever seen before! Honestly, it was all I could do not to drool over the artwork....!

The NTTD tie looks more like an ottoman weave than a repp weave. But both are very similar ribbed weaves. Effectively the ties are interchangeable as seen on screen.

Ain’t that the truth!
Gotta say, all of my dealings with Massimo Alba have been so positive. Alessandro has (as several others have mentioned) been so responsive to emails and always willing to help.
After I visited on Saturday, soon after I received an email from him asking what I thought of the store and had I been looked after well. To me, that is really attentive (in a good way) customer service. And I have had no more interaction with the man than getting in on the Winch Cord trouser (which are beautiful) order and ordering the Duster coat.
They also showed me a few pictures of their new range coming out soon. Nothing was particular ‘Bond-ian’ but I can certainly see myself buying from them 1. Because of the style and the reasonable price and 2. Because of their massive attention to customer service.
Was going to go for my usual 54 but it seems to be huge if im not mistaken?
Sounds like you had a blast Ferinstal. Always super when a store gives a nice personal touch! -{
I ordered it and for sizing I was told DC wears a 50, if that is any helpful to you.
So.... I ordered the Duster before I went to Rome.
I asked Alessandro about sizing, told him I was normally a 40” chest / IT 50. (40” chest; 32” waist; Long-ish arms)
He advised that for the Duster, I should take a 48 IT. Apparently, the Duster runs large.
On Saturday the first brown velvet overcoat I tried was a IT 48. It was too tight. Tried on the IT 50 and it is a perfect fit. So I bought it.
Then I asked the 2 staff (Frederika and Stefano) about fitting for the Duster. Both advised that I should size down to the 48 as it does run large.
Alessandro has provided full measurements I believe? Check them out and make a good decision - but MA staffs advise was the same as Alessandro’s. You should consider sizing down.

Very helpful. Think from the chart and your advice will go for a 52.

I love the style and colour of the Duster and look forward to seeing you guys take delivery of them. Which I think should occur at almost exactly the same time as I get deep regrets at not having ordered one myself. Ha.

Good day, I own both versions now, I bought the blanket lined version because I found it more practical. As long as you don’t mind it not being as screen accurate (stitching on right inside pocket cannot be seen and stitching on hand warmer pockets are not visible). If you have room for layering in your current size, stick with the same size, if your current size is snug, size up. The blanket liner does make it a tad slimmer. Hope that helps. I prefer the blanket lined version by far, I found the unlined version is a tad basic and if I’m just wearing a T shirt underneath it’s a bit cold feeling. The Stag blanket lined version is really nice and it gives the jacket a less ridged feeling.
It's a good point. I've already got a Supply jacket in my wardrobe, in a size medium, but I am thinking of grabbing a Blanket-Lined version, to add to it. Can anyone tell me whether I should go for the same size, or does the lining mean that I should size up?
I have to laugh at myself sometimes. When the Rogue Territory Jacket was revealed I wasn’t too bothered about it. I then started to warm to it and picked up a denim Supply jacket which is truly wonderful. I thought that would scratch the itch.... but it didn’t.
As I mentioned earlier I then tried on the SA tan Supply jacket and wasn’t crazy about it. Roll forward less than a week and I’ve just picked one up in grey for a great price ) -{
Nice, I thought about going with the blanket lined version as it would be more versatile especially living in a place where there are several months of true winter, has anyone gone that route and what did you think?

Thanks so much for the input. I think that the large would be the way to go. Unfortunately Stag don't have any more larges in the lined left! Considering going for the green version...

Yeah - I guess it’s kind of a ‘reverse engineering’ of a normal design house process.
Normally, they’ll start with artwork/sketches of their upcoming clothing.
These have clearly been produced after the trailer.
Again, apologies for not asking more questions and getting closer to the truth - I guess my 00 status is still a long way coming...! )
What size did you go for in the Sloop suit?
