It would be nice if Arbogast777 or Matis could get back to us and tell us more. How do they know this man and has he converted vehicles for movies before?
Maybe the wording of a previous post gave the impression I know something I don’t, so to be clear - I don’t know the man in the slightest, I just *believe* his post to be genuine, as Walther P99 did, based on the fact that this rather expensive custom Range Rover has to have been built for something. But I have no info you don’t. I’m not defending the man at all and know nothing about him.
Ok, then that's made clear. I think a Land Rover for Bond isn't unlikely. It would be nice to find out if Ron Milione has some background in mechanics, preferably also some real involvement with the film industry.
Right now we don't have any info that makes this more than a rumour with no real substance.
I find it interesting that this "Aston Martin Prototype" is left hand drive. It's also more than a bit odd that this rocket sits on the roof like some sort of hood ornament....not very stealth.
OK, then I'm sorry for my comments above. James Bond or someone else in Bond25 will be driving in some really rough terrain, I guess. Possibly with a large cargo, since the converted version on Instagram is a pick-up.
Using Google image search I can't find anything that matches what that guy put on his Instagram. But, there are plenty of images and video of six wheel Land Rovers floating around the internet.
It all pretty much means nothing. It could be true or Taghmaoui could be announced in a month. With the way EON has been playing its cards so close to the vest this time, nothing would surprise me. It's amazing how little dirt the British Tabs and the internet put out on the departure of Boyle. You would have thought they would have taken that story and ran in every direction possible.
Please god give this thread a good shot of B25 news B-)
We had a bundle recently!
Compared to previous DC Bond films all that is left to reveal before the start of filming press conference, really, are the villains and confirmation of some locations; which so far would only seem to be Canada considering the source of that info, a former Bond production staff member.
I am surprised there hasn't been more speculation on the theme singer. Since the summer there has been virtually no speculation. So far Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran (Again!) and Beyonce seem to have had the most press rumour stories.
And Supergroup, The Last Shadow Puppets, which includes Arctic Monkeys members, wrote In My Room, which someone has dubbed over the Casino credits. Quite Bondian. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4QR4o5A2Q4
Of course, Fukunaga has said that his favourite theme was Duran Duran's so he could up for a band to do the theme. BTW Spectre theme tune runners-up Radiohead have won Grammys.
I'd say the applicartion to Norway is closer to be a certain thing than Canada is at this point.
But let's list what we know today and what we are reasonalbly sure of:
What we know:
- The director
- DoP
- The release date
- The casting of Lea Seydoux
- Ben Whishaw, Namoie Harris and Ralph Fiennes will also return.
- Some key crew members
- Aston Martin will be involved
- EON intends to film scenes in Norway
What we have good reason to belive:'
- Arctic Canada will be a location
- They are casting a female MI6 agent and a mysterious woman
- The main villain will be North African
- They are looking for Nordic actors
Please help correct the list where I got it wrong.
The arctic stuff is all linked to this cold war angle Boyle was supposed to have. I don't think that, if it was ever true, would survive his departure. I think the same can be said of the Russian casting call and the Finnish actors rumour. Said Taghmaoui has said his involvement was fake news and that was Boyle linked.
I think with Lea Seydoux back, Blofeld is the most obvious villain and so Nordics, Russians and North African leading villains are not needed. I'd expect villain, henchmen casting rumours to surface in January, early February with a 4 March start.
1) With both Said Taghmaoui and Rami Malek being from the same part of the world, I think it’s absolutely fair to say that there is a possibility the villain is North African.
2) Looking at Canada and Norway does not mean an artic setting considering the movie will be shooting in spring/summer

Please note that I wrote "EON intends to film scenes in Norway". There is no doubt they intend to film here, but we don't know yet if they will end up filming here. You write: "The arctic stuff is all linked to this cold war angle Boyle was supposed to have". We don't know that. You may be right, but that's just speculation.
What I wrote about Canada, North African villan and Nordic actors was under the headline "What we have good reason to believe". We don't have solid proof, but there are fairly strong indications this will happen.
All in all I'd say my post holds water.
Arbogast777 point about snow and the shooting schedule is a good one. Shooting will start in March and by that time they will have to go really far north to get snow near sea level. They could go far north or shoot ski scenes in the mountains wth the fjords in the background, but I think they would most likely start shooting earlier in the year if they wanted ski scenes.
I think with Lea Seydoux back, Blofeld is the most obvious villain and so Nordics, Russians and North African leading villains are not needed. I'd expect villain, henchmen casting rumours to surface in January, early February with a 4 March start.
None of that is out of the question. Look at You Only Live Twice. Blofeld is the main villain, but other villains are played by Japanese and German actors. You can have multiple villains. There are also henchmen, which can count as villains. I wouldn't rule out a diverse cast and multiple locations.
2 points: 1) With both Said Taghmaoui and Rami Malek being from the same part of the world, I think it’s absolutely fair to say that there is a possibility the villain is North African.
And Rami Malik is just a rumour, but admittedly from Variety (https://variety.com/2018/film/news/bond-25-lea-seydoux-1203084117/) which is normally a reliable trade paper. But, the rumour could just as easily be about helping Bohemian Rhapsody or Rami's TV show Mr. Robot get more publicity. Which it has achieved.

That is a superb poster! Would love a return of this style of poster and a fantastic bow out for Craig to have a more animated poster. Happy for a minimalist teaser poster but the theatrical poster would be great to have something like this!

Dua Lipa has had two Grammy nominations, but no wins. She wasn't nominated this year.

And she has denied that she has been asked to do it.

Of the top 20 biggest selling albums of this year, only the Arctic Monkeys have had a Grammy nom for the 2019 awards (held on 10 February). They have had 5 nominations and no wins.

I give up guessing after the last one with Sam bloody Smith

EON might not get the Norwegian tax credits. The original Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet story
https://www.dagbladet.no/kultur/hollywood-snuser-pa-vestlandet-med-ny-og-enorm-james-bond-derfor-vraker-de-trolig-norge/68763567
is from October 2017 and it refers to locations but they could simply be necessary for the tax credit application. Interestingly the story says Bond25's budget is 2 billion Norwegian Krona, which is $232 million.
This story from 4 December this year seems to strengthen the likelihood of Norway filming.
https://www.dagbladet.no/kultur/vil-spille-inn-ny-bond-film-i-norge/70531690
However, EON might routinely apply for tax credits in different locations, they can always turn them down if they get a better deal elsewhere.
And;
As for Canada, this tweet points out, there is a Pinewood Studios Toronto. The Canada filming may have nothing to do with snow.
https://twitter.com/Bond25Film/status/1053255890747441152
And this press release from Pinewood's website from October this year says they are expanding.

We only have the Rami Malek rumour, and he rarely takes on Middle Eastern roles.

Is that Naomi Harris at the front second from left? As she looks very different if so...
Also, who is the guy at the front second from the right?
1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby
Said Taghmaoui, the actor rumoured to be wanted by Boyle.
Ahh, I thought it might have been. Thanks
