In this day and age they could want Lupita Nyong'o for the mystery woman or the MI6 agent. One thing is for sure: she is too dark skinned to play someone from Tunisia or the rest of Mediteranian Africa. I hope they cast her. she's talented and beautiful.
There is a large cabin being buildt in Langevann north of Oslo and it's for a movie. It's a pine wood area by a lake. There is much more secrecy than what a Norwegian movie would normally require and people who are in the know won't answer journalists. If this is really for Bond I find the location much stranger than Rjukan because they could easily find a location like this in Canada and many other places for half the cost.
The building of the film set in more secretive than any film production in Norway (one exeption, but that involved a murder trail, diplomacy and extradiction …. never mind), and several major news ourlets think it's for Bond25.

SHATTERHAND, The best kept secret since spectres script )
Interesting to read some British rags take on that name, shame they didn't research the relevance of it!
Very interesting! Thanks. With that sum to work With I doubt there will be other locations far from this area. Langvann is a part of an area called Nordmarka, a large area of forrest and lakes favoured by people in Oslo for recreational purposes. During the war so many guerillas ("the boys in the forrest") hid here it was considered enemy held areas on German maps. I would guess they still have snow in April-March. I live on the west coast, so I'd have to drive for a long time to find a landscape that dull, but I have to trust EON knows what they're doing.
According to a article by Nettavisen, the local municipality this afternoon released documents about the building of the cabin. This information was not available to the public until now, with reasons being "competition concerns". At the same time, it's confirmed by the municipality that this is indeed for a film shoot, but they didn't want to reveal any further details.
An application letter concerns a request about driving motorised vehicles in the area. It's also submitted a request of:
- construction of temporary tents and (parking) space for trucks
- construction of a temporary parking place for motorised vehicles and a temporary road
- construction of a 12x16 meter long temporary building, as well as a smaller building
Edit (this bit wasn't included in my post for some reason):
Communications advisor Gro Rognmo in the Norwegian Film Institute tells Nettavisen that she doesn't belive this is related to Bond 25, and that they've started production in Norway.
"They've probably considering other places to shoot, and they have until April to accept the offer we have given them. We do hope they say "yes", and that there will be production of James Bond in Norway", Rognmo told Nettavisen early Friday afternoon.
"No, I don't belive it is it (B25), but everything is very secret regarding this production, Rognmo says, adding that she doubts that the production of the upcoming Bond film has started – not at least since Cinema Blend just reported that the script was being rewritten.
"No, so I don't belive this is shooting of James Bond", she says.
#Shatterhand is now trending on Twitter as the story of the working title appears to have hit the public airwaves.
Quite interesting seeing people pass judgement on the title with no understanding of the history of it haha
I think it's too much to expect a wide and casual audience to delve too far into Bondian mythos or semiotics. QOS was an embarrassment as all and sundry tried their best to unravel and explain it to bemused commentators. Shatterhand is not as bad but will likely draw a 'Huh' from most moviegoers so I hope they do something else. Bond 25 has been plagued with negative comment in pre production. Mostly fuelled from the ' will he wont he from Daniel, and the hasty retreat from Boyle.
I'm taking comfort from the barrage of negativity pre CR ( too short, too ugly, cant drive a stick shift...) and that turned out to be a doozy in the end.
Of that of which we cannot speak we must pass over in silence- Ludwig Wittgenstein.
The cabin by the lake reminds some of Mr White's hideout in SPECTRE, just without the mountains. Why are thy filming there when the director himself knows there are spectacular landscaps all over the country? In fact if someone had asked where to find the most boring landscapes in Norway I would prabably have pointed to that region. Perhaps it's because this is the location closest to Oslo that is likely to have snow when they are filming?
Why are they building a temporary cabin instead of using an exisiting one? Is it because they plan to destroy it in the film? Possible, but it could be simply because the area is protected and building permanent structures is not allowed there. Then why film in just that area?

So, EON has not even formally accepted the Norwegian film grant, so it seems hard to believe that that production is Bond25.
I mentioned that in post 3998.not a surprise really, this title has been touted and on the Internet under John Logans profile for about a year., it's DCs S trilogy!

Could this be a pts location? Possibly where Bond and Swann are enjoying some alone time... A la the American film begining?

Key word is "working title", not "title". Working title: The temporary name of a product or project (such as a film or video game), when under development; often changed when released.

Have there been many working titles for the other previous films?

Yes. Bond 25's real working title is "Bond 25". Spectre's working title was "Bond 24". I don't think they've ever had creative working titles.

If the film is going to be called "Shatterhand", maybe it will be about a really kinky villain? Or perhaps now is the time to film a Bond-inspired porno with that name.

I was wrong on this. Here's an article that discusses the history of Bond working titles:
If the title/working title is Shatterhand, do we think they are using Bensons ndod as inspiration and foregoing any Fleming canon?
Didn't cubby always say go back to Fleming when you're not sure what direction to take?
A Norwegian Bond fan visited the location as early as 16.-17. February. He took photos and gave a short interview for jamesbond.no.
They plowed a road on the icy lake and the cabin seems to have skids on and was towed by a tractor on the lake. if you want to see his photos or have a go with Google Translate you can click here: http://jamesbond.no/visArtikler.asp?ID=1007
Are there skids on for practical purposes? They made the framework elsewhere and moved it to where it is now because they couldn't disturb the protected location, including making a foundation for the building? The road can't be broad enough to transport a large cabin. so they used the iced lake?
Or is it for an action scene? In SPECTRE we got a plane on skids, now whe get a cabin on skids? Your guess is as good as mine.

Someone in the know in Norway who has been to this set told me it is indeed for Bond.

One of the rags who has done some due diligence.
Here is a photo of the activity going on.

How does Clooney's The American begin, I can't remember?

Or it could be like the Netflix film Polar with Mads Mikklesen where the protagonist (a former hitman) gets attacked at a lake cabin.
BTW, Polar's pretty good, although definitely R rated.
Never seen Polar, is it R rated for violence or sex or what?
Didn't cubby always say go back to Fleming when you're not sure what direction to take?
Interesting: I don’t think I’ve heard of the Death Waits For No Man title before.

"Time and tide wait for no man" is a phrase familiar to all from the UK...........I've not heard "Death Waits For No Man"
I hope they don't call it Shatterhand.
"Do you expect me to talk? "No Mister Bond I expect you to die"
Could definitely imagine that being blown sky high. Hope it's not for B25 though—looks far too much like Mr White's SP cabin setting.
