Next up for Burns is writing “No Time to Die,” the 25th installment in the James Bond franchise. Even for a guy who helped write a “Bourne” movie, the project marked a thrilling benchmark in his career.
“It was being able to throw in with a group of really talented people on a franchise that had a huge impact on me,” he says of the process. “I mean, it’s a dream come true to have grown up in Minnesota watching James Bond movies, and then you look at your laptop and you’re writing the name Bond and then writing dialogue underneath it. If anybody would have told me that was ever going to happen, I would have never believed them.”
Is it just me or does No Time To Die have a slightly shorter/more efficient shoot than last time? It basically shot from May to early October, whereas Spectre was December to early July.

You make it sound like they have finished......
I think many people (including members of the press, who then reported it as fact) assumed that the wrap party in Matera, was the wrap party for the entire production. If I'm not mistaken, that was only to thank the various crew from just the Matera shooting.
That being said, we haven't seen nor heard much in the way of any subsequent filming...

Ana de Armas has been in London working on the film, per her instagram account.
I thought it was a bit odd that filming had "wrapped" but then I saw all the reports online but may be they are a bit mistaken as it appears that filming has continued at Pinewood. May be just a wrap party for Italy? I would assume that Craig will be out and about promoting Knives Out by mid November and returning to loop dialog during post production. I wonder if they have shot footage for the title sequence yet?
Last night my wife and I were at a Toronto Symphony Orchestra performance of James Bond: The Music. It was fantastic btw.
The conductor who apparently talks with Ms. Broccoli quite regularly whenever they do anything Bond related, said that Elton John was in talks to do the theme song for NTTD.
Thoughts?
Pussy Galore: “My name is Pussy Galore.”
Bond: “I must be dreaming.”
"Shoot Down The Moon", 1985. Apparently Maibaum & Wilson originally planned for Zorin to bring down Halley's Comet (due at the time) in AVTAK, but decided against it. Elton John and Bernie Taupin had written this song during that period.

Is anyone really surprised by the lackluster poster? I've said before how poor all of the Daniel Craig posters are in the past. It's no surprise at all with this new teaser poster. But this sort of thing is what works to get the larger modern audience in theaters. Just a big picture of the main actor.
What is surprising is that the James Bond series is known for some of the best illustrated posters in movie history. Yet we can't even get an illustrated teaser poster for Daniel Craig's movies.
At least there is unofficial fan art. Which is way better than what we are getting officially.
Because hand drawn art was killed by computers so we get lazy simplistic photo ops of Bond standing with gun in hand. No one is crazy about those, but at least Bond was confident instead of confused, and at least he was holding a gun.
Avengers Endgame had several hand drawn posters, so we still get the occasional hand drawn poster for big budget movies..
I agree, classic Bond poster art was as synonymous with the series as the Barry music and the Adam set design. It is perverse they should be avoiding the type of poster their own series is so well known for.
I can see the old style posters were outrageously sexist, with Connery holding his gun due north like an erect phallus and all the scantily clad lovelies clinging to him like he's their harem-master.
But theres gotta be a way to update that look without continuing the sexism. There's four leading ladies in this film! They could easily do a similar composition of figures without the harem implication!
I think its just another way the present generation of filmmakers is deliberately distancing itself from their own history, and consequently leaving it up to imitators to carry on the tradition.

I looked at a list of movie releases this fall and I was surprised by the lack of big blockbuster type movies. Did the list I found lack some films? I thought the production companies want to have some big movies out for Christmas?

Star Wars doesn’t qualify as a big movie? Perhaps the others don’t want to go up against it.
Ah … that one wasn't on the list I saw for some reaason. I thought it looks strange. Damn Movieinsier.com. After looking at Collier.com I see there is also Midway, 1917 (Mendes …), 6 Underground, Ford vs Ferrari and The Current War.

I actually don't think the old style posters were outrageously sexist. I do think, though, there's a place for classically composed, old-style posters which feature male and female actors, such a this poster for Blade Runner 2049. Guns are still evident and the sole female is not at the apex, so maybe I'm behind the times, but I really like it. )
Some of the old posters can be seen as sexist and I don't think there can be Bond posters like that again.
But I think TLD was the last had drawn bond poster as far as i remember. I don't think it's sexist.
Here is an example of a current hand drawn poster, so I think there's no reason Bond shouldn' have one:

Maybe not. But the official posters were in the same style and the style is much the same as hand drawn posters. That is my point - if Avengers can use posters in that style, so can Bond.

I saw that, too. And you can say what you want about the quality of The Rock‘s movies but they sure know how to successfully market them!

They also finished filming that movie aaages ago (Sept 2018) - over a year before NTTD will finish filming. Just sayin.

For three of DC's films the BBFC teaser trailer approvals came a week to ten days before the trailers were released.
