I liked the suits myself, and felt they worked well with his physique. He's going to need to work hard if he wants to carry that same look off now though.

Based upon the most recent pictures of a much slimmer looking DC, I don't think we have to worry about Pillsbury Doughboy Danny for Bond 25.....especially with another 6 months to go before filming begins. I get the feeling that (while I am pretty sure this will be Craig's last Bond film), he wants to go out on a high note looking like he could come back again for 26 rather than looking like 25 was one too many.

    :))

As someone who is the same age as DC I know how hard (and increasingly harder) it is to keep a good shape. I don't envy his workout routine for this role that's for sure.

I haven't seen any very recent pics (will Google in a bit) but he wasn't looking too great a while back... I'm sure he'll look as look as a 50 year old man can look come the first day on set.

As you point out, he’s still got a lot of time, but he’s got a long way to go before my fears of “Connery in DAF” are put to rest.

That's good news. Maybe Bond's suits will fit properly this time.

Here's hoping, that plus a less thug like hairdo. I think it's time for Daniel's Bond to class up a bit. More like how he appears when off duty

I think he's always looked like a man that can handle whatever comes his way, with enough 'class' (whatever that is) thrown-in.... Better than Bond as a clown/wimp/comedian/model... etc.

The balance with DC has been just right, and I'd hate to see it watered down... haircuts included :v

Agreed. I’d like to see a look similar to what he sported in the Spectre Heineken campaign.

Quite happy, but very interested in who will be the composer. I think they will go with someone new, not Arnold (though I like him). So glad indeed that Newman is gone, gone, gone. :) But no idea who Boyle may want to work with - anybody have some ideas?

I'd be happy if Lindy was brought back, but open to someone new.
The Tom Ford suits were due to Craig, but I always disliked them - too tight, to the point they looked ill fitting. So I'm interested in that, too, but the compose is what I am really excited to know .... and that may be awhile yet.

There's something "off" about that shirt.....it's quite odd looking. Even if Craig was sporting a spare tire around the waist it wouldn't look like that. It appears as if he is wearing something under the shirt. Maybe a wrap/dressing of some sort after a bit of liposuction? And those pants....yeesh. At his charity bash, where he auctioned off the Aston Martin he looked quite trim and fit.
OK...saw another shot of Craig from when that photo was shot in NYC on JustJared.com and it looks much better....still has a ways to go but I wouldn't fret about "Connery in DAF" syndrome. Even when Craig is lean and mean he still has a bit of a protruding stomach.

There are rumours about Angelina Jolie as the villan in Bond25. She will be in Maleficent 2, and filming started in April this year. The release date will be in 2020, but that movie must need a lot of time in post-production. Will she be finished on Maleficent 2 by December?

I've just had a horrible thought - what if they go 1 step further than Blofeld having plastic surgery, and have Blofeld have a sex change? With Jolie as Blofeld! :o This would also go with the rumours of B25 being a very different idea...
    1 - LALD, 2 - AVTAK, 3 - LTK, 4 - OP, 5 - NTTD, 6 - FYEO, 7 - SF, 8 - DN, 9 - DAF, 10 - TSWLM, 11 - OHMSS, 12 - TMWTGG, 13 - GE, 14 - MR, 15 - TLD, 16 - YOLT, 17 - GF, 18 - DAD, 19 - TWINE, 20 - SP, 21 - TND, 22 - FRWL, 23 - TB, 24 - CR, 25 - QOS

    1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby

No, I don't think that's what's going to happen. Actually we don't even know the main villan will be female it's just a rumour from a source we don't know much about.
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,437MI6 Agent
If the female villain rumours are true, Christina Hendricks would be a good candidate.
She is a very good actress and she is a star, but mainly from the award-winning TV-series Mad Men.
Hendricks hasn't starred in any big movies yet, and as far as I know she hasn't played a villain yet.
Obviously Christina Hendricks looks stunning, and if they really are considering Angelina Jolie that's something EON want.

    It should be Gillian Anderson

they wouldn't need to do that, just give us Irma Bunt. If they were to give us Irma Bunt, that could possibly mean very good things for Bond25 ... talkin' 'bout the Garden of Death!

of course Blofeld has been into cross-dressing, so we can't rule out Blofeld going for the big operation.
Thanks Jarvio for giving us that to worry about, just when we finally got the director sorted.

she's a pretty tiny lady, but could indeed make for a good scenery chewing villain.
I once saw a teevee show where she played Wallis Simpson. She was awesome! imperious, pretentious, short-tempered and completely abusive! even tuff old CraigBond would have been cowering before her wrath.
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,437MI6 Agent
Gillian Anderson is tiny at 160 cm 5' 3'', so I thought so she has to be a great actress to be threatening. Then I Googled Angelina Jolie and discovered she is only nine centimeters taller at 169 cm. I thought she was really tall!

Gillian Anderson is one of those actors who they need to find a role for in a Bond film. Villain, MI6 Agent, CIA, politician, she would be great in any role. She truly is an American/British hybrid and can be as British as British can be or as American as apple pie. Height is not an issue....movie magic always takes care of that.

Or she could be Nena Bismaquer...but I REALLY hope Jolie isn’t in the film at all.

Danny Boyle's former girlfriend, Rosario Dawson would also be a good fit for a role in Bond 25. She's a very good actor, incredibly beautiful and exotic looking and more age appropriate for Craig.

I'd throw Emily Blunt's name into the mix - she's British, a great actress (fantastic in Sicario and A Quiet Place), can definitely be a badass action star (Edge of Tomorrow) and I'd say a perfect age for a fellow SIS agent or maybe even villain.

I know it's from 'The Sun' (so take it with a pinch of salt) - nice work if you can get it!

I like that it knows how much he will get paid per minute of the movie even though it can’t know a run time yet 8-)

other candidates for female villain, being actresses of a certain age who can chew up scenery the way a Bond villain should:

Tilda Swinton, done lots of weird stuff, and can often look a bit creepy, what with that bone structure and all.

Cate Blanchett, has been the big baddie in Indiana Jones and Thor movies, very good at imperious.

and did anybody catch Julianne Moore in the Kingsmen sequel? she had a meatgrinder to punish minions who had disappointed her.

I think I'd prefer any one of those three above Angelina Jolie, who is just a bit too much Hollywood royalty and not so much a character actor.

    Movie with female villain:

Villain - “I’ve never been afraid to kill, Mr. Bond”

    (Bond shoots her)

    Bond - ”#metoo”

Ha, yeah, that would play great. Purvis and Wade might even sign off on that one. :v
