Should original languages be used more in Bond movies?

We have seen more than once foreigners speak together in accented English in Bond movies. We sometimes get one or two sentences in other languages, but never more. Do you want to hear more languages in Bond movies, perhaps even spoke by James Bond himself? In the books he speak German and French. Perhaps we'll get an actor who speak more languages. Tom Hiddleston speak Spanish, Greek, French and Italian.

I think that I've made a thread on how accurate the aforementioned character's accents and sentences are.

About Hiddleston, as far as I've dug up so far, there was an interview where he quoted in well accented ancient Greek, Sophocles's Elektra. The only trouble is, ancient Greek hasn't been spoken in Greece (as a proper language) for centuries.
Unless he goes on an Indiana Jones like adventure in a Bond film, he will find ancient Greek to not be that useful as (even if it bears some resemblance to modern Greek) it bears little resemblance to modern Greek.
24, I expected Moore from you, being a history nerd.

Either way, I'd love for an actor to speak the native languages in the countries he visits, on the condition that it doesn't end up like Connery in Holland or Moore in Greece. Bond should know his limitations.

I suspected Hiddleston spoke ancient Greek, especially since Latin was mentioned too. But like you said, ancient Greek and modern Greek are obviously related languages so it could give him an edge. That's why I mentioned Greek and not Latin.

Do we know if any of the Bond actors really speak any languages beside English, in real life that is?
Perhaps Dalton speak Welsh or Moore spoke French?

I think there should be a hint that Bond knows different languages, perhaps not full on exposition scenes in another language, but the viewer should get the impression he is well versed in different tongues, beyond the obvious. :D

I agree. The villan explaining his plan in Estonian might not be a good idea. But Bond ordering a dinner at a Paris restaurant in French would be cool, or the Japanese henchman talking among each other in Japanese would lend authentisity.

Regarding post 3, Roger Moore was married to an Italian lady, thus making it possible for him to learn how to speak fluent Italian.

In most of the Bond films, he throws out the odd saying / response in various
languages. Even if the wrong one as in FYEO.

The wrong language in FYEO? I can't remember that scene.

There is a bit of that sometimes, but I would like more. Especially when two people speak in English in spite of being Russian or from some other nation where English isn't the first language.

Movie Bond claims to have received a First in Oriental Languages from Cambridge (it's in the movie YOLT).

The problem may not be the language but the banality of the dialogue. Too often, someone just grunts some simplistic phrase that hardly merits the effort.
