45.5mm size is the one from Casino Royale

Which is quite big, so I would rather have a smaller one but I'd have no problem purchasing the big one if granted no other option.

If I was you I would grab the 42mm on bracelet (Quantum of Solace watch) then buy the rubber strap separately.

Then you kind of have both Casino Royale (albeit smaller) and Quantum in one watch and can change to strap or rubber when you fancy a change!

45.5mm is indeed a big watch, I had both and would prob go for the 42mm if I bought again

+1 I agree the QOS 42mm PO plus rubber is a more flexible combo. 45mm works if you have big wrists an knuckles that drag :D (Cheaper this way around too than buying steel bracelet later)

    Cheers :007)

I'd agree with Welshboy on that, the casino royal big size isn't the same proportions as the current range of 45mm po's. The only caveat I'd add is that I prefer a 45mm watch for diving and various other activities but a smaller watch for everyday wear, except my titanium po for some reason I like that in the bigger size.

I have a very small wrist and my favorite Omega is the CR model.

    It's not too big IMHO.

Ive had very large (47mm) to small (38mm)

40mm is about right for me nowadays, think my wrist is a tad over 7 inches

Great advice! Although I do have enormous hands, I have normal sized wrists (since Im quite a scrawny guy) so Im not sure if I could go for the 45.5mm...

Anyone know where I could buy both the rubber band and the QOS Omega watch?

Depends where you are located in the globe. In U.K. eBay and Watchfiner have them come up from time to time. You can get the OEM rubber from any Omega boutique it's usually an order in item and don't forget to buy the buckle as well (yes this is Omega at least the buckle is reusable!!)

My 42.5 CR PO is my daily wear and i love it. All i can do is echo the advice already given and say buy one on stainless then add the rubber strap after. Last time I looked intot the stainless strap i am sure it was priced at nearly £600. Only other thing to be mindful of is that although lower than the newer models it does still sit high on the wrist so a shirt wont always cover it.
