Their marketing is beautiful and engaging from a mass engagement standpoint which trickles down to personal experiences and service. THAT is there model. THEN people come along and create, organically, a different one. It flies in the face of their 'process'....I don't like hearing that people are "fortunate" to be customers. We are dealing with the MTM group of TF. I believe the fortunate ones are both sides that certainly create a win win....my only point is that by restricting word of this opportunity our likelihood of getting to 80 units will be diminished.
One more thing....I find it hard to walk on egg shells around brands when so many other brands out there embrace their customer base so readily. Maybe it's my age, maybe its my profession...maybe its self-respect....There are companies that thrive off of customer feedback, and there are some that see it as complaints, or insults. The interpretation of one over the other is about choice.

Not an image issue...they want it to be discrete. They feel the Harrington project was anything but. My stance is, who cares how new customers are created? I honestly think they don't understand social media and influencer marketing and thus fear it rather than embrace it. Couple that with a marketing department that doesn't exactly welcome grass root movements and you have our reality.

I spoke to Luigi about the challenge of 80 units and he in turn spoke to his people. They have agreed to lower the minimum to 55 units which makes this project MUCH MORE LIKELY. However, based on the lower units the price has increased to 505 Euros. That's a difference of 60 Euros. I understand we may lose a few of you based on this but I think 80 units is not feasible based on the discrete nature to which we are asked to handle this project. I have updated the content of my first post to reflect this new information. Easiest way to handle this new tidbit is for those that want OUT (and we promise, no one will be thought of any less if they do) because of the price increase, please state so so we can update the list accordingly. I was starting to consider getting one if the numbers were close to 80 and needed a boost to get this done, but with the price increase that's now another almost $100 CDN extra so I am definitely out now.

I'm usually not one for defending the decisions of major corporations, but Tom Ford could have spiked the price up in the ballpark of the spectre polo $960. They know the interest is there. It's not cheap to start producing a product especially one in a limited run. (60 euro increase isn't that bad) they significantly lowered the minimum.
If no one drops out, we just went from 50% there to 80% there.

2. Delivery, I know that the cost of delivery will differ depending on where you live in the world (I live in the UK), but based on the Harrington project what were the costs of delivery? (David I know you can't answer that question alone, but others might be able to?) Would an option be to have it sent to the nearest Tom Ford store for collection, like you would for a bespoke item?

If we hit 80 (miracles do happen) then I am sure they will adjust price. That being said tho', once we hit 55 people we will begin the process of connecting with Luigi for payment. That usually doesn't take long and then we are off to the races.
