In all seriousness though, congrats.
The picture above is from my vacation, and speaking of which I also managed to spot a DB9 with DBS back lamps.
Made for a killer photo, though.
I was lucky enough to drive a DBS a couple of years ago - to describe it as superb doesn't do it justice. My congratulations, you are obviously a discerning chap
Thank you gents
They are just amazing
Getting in an Aston is unique, a leather / metal dominated smell...
The start up is a deafening roar before settling to a gutsy rumble...
Once on the move they are firm (provided u stay clear of sport and track on the adaptive susp)...
But the power and noise is addictive. 70mph in third, floor the loud pedal and you can spin the rears...
And of course, as you pass a window, you catch yourself checking it / you out and beaming...
I feel very lucky having owned a few...
But if you can, somehow, own one. Jfdi!
Any Aston is an event and you will never get tired of lifting the garage door
David,
Are you a big fan of the new DB11 / the upcoming vantage (heavily rumored DB10 design) look ?
Or do you still prefer the classic DBS look ?
If u had to choose, which would it be and why ?
Personally , I love the DBS look I see with our friend here, til I saw the DB10 from SPECTRE just screamed madness !!! I sincerely hope the strong rumor of the upcoming vantage to be a DB10 look a like is true.
Either way, you can't wrong with a Aston Martin awaiting you in your garage
Congrats to our friend here again in the beautiful purchase -{

Personally im not a huge fan of the db11. I was at the unveiling as a guest of AM and whilst its a mightily beautiful car, some of the details were not an Aston (to me)...
Now this is probably due to the fact that the last 7 or 8 cars have all shared a family look, and that look is changing...
Sure it will be a grower once the Vantage / others come along.
Having spent a lot of time around the DB10 up close, its beautiful, but not sure the effect the "Road requirements" will have on it
Dbs for me as the ultimate Aston, which is a good thing )

I agree, the db9 and the dbs followed on nicely from the db7 updated (aesthetically) re engineered but followed on the db11 just looks too modern almost futuristic a bit like they've missed out the model inbetween.

Very insightful !
I definitely agree.
I don’t like the DB11. But I loved the DB10. I also love the DBS.
I also think the DBS is a smart investment that will appreciate overtime since it’s discontinued
Belated congrats! Beautiful car, spectacular engine. I can recommend cquartz coating if you like to keep it clean and look after it yourself. {[]
Thanks to Texas007 for helping save BMT216A from Harvey. -{ -{ If not for a last minute relocation it would have been sleeping with the fishes. My garage (and house) did not fare well.
Dont wait for your ship to come in. Swim out and meet the bloody thing.

Wow that is awesome a fellow member helped you out. -{
Great news and great save by a fellow member.
The dbs has been ceramic coated following the usual clay bar and other such finery like dodo juice etc
Just trying to find out when it was done last...
My friends at AM NEWCASTLE are getting her for a week to undertake every little job to get her as close to new as is possible (5 little details)...
Beautiful cars. All of them. As David says. I like the DB11 but don't love it. Still struggling with the front wheel arch thing. Although I defy anyone not to go on the Aston Martin configurator and build one in yellow and capture their inner Lord Brett Sinclair and not lovele it! Living very close to Gaydon (where they're made) I'm lucky enough to see quite a few on the road and in their mule disguise too. The new Vantage looks very nice. Personally, the Vanquish Zagato is pretty close to perfection for me.

Poolside in Italy after the races? Sounds very Bondian.
I would love an AM (mid-1980's V8 Vantage), alas my budget would be more this car:
1. CR. 2. TSWLM. 3. LTK. 4. GF. 5. SF.

Looking forward to more pictures!!
The top speed limit in the Falklands is 40MPH (Not kidding lol)

Although I think it's lovely.
Rumour has it an employee did it and then it was leaked...

I think it was actually BMW who made the ad first and it was for real supposedly.
