The First time, seeing skyfall i like it. Not as much as casino royale, but still close. Since that, It hasn't changed. I Like the difference it brought to the whole franchise, some may say it's pretentious but, besides the obvious Plot holes, the storytelling and cinematograpgy is in my opinion the Best ever in any bond movie. But the whole package was for me still better delivered in casino royale, which only Made an movie like skyfall possible.
The most overrated Bond movie since GoldenEye but overrated doesn't necessarily mean mediocre or terrible, it was released at the right time with the audiences in the right mood, with a memorable villain and two great action set pieces bookending the run time, with loads of beautifully filmed locations inbetween, ergo it became a huger than normal hit than Bond films usually are.
Like GE it's a 8/10 movie sold (and accepted by most) as an 10/10 movie; a handful of niggling flaws and minor plotholes, but easy to re-watch now and again.
'Alright guard, begin the unnecessarily slow moving dipping mechanism...'
One of those movies I didn't appreciate the first time around. I was craving a Bond movie and expected the standard Bond formula but I got something different. I really like it now, especially after re-watching many of the movies.

What made you like it more after re-watching the other films?
5 years on and I love Skyfall. It's a wonderful movie. For me it is without question one of the very best in the series and is so far one of the most iconic films of the decade, The comments on here are correct in saying that it was a right time, right place picture. But a lot of classic films are like that. For me it doesn't take away from the fact that it is a great movie. I also don't like the fact that Bond is suddenly aged and jaded with the service, but it's a minor gripe. The film itself is a knockout. Made to look even better by Spectre. I think this will forever be a Bond classic -{
I agree with that. It is a great film and it was beautifully filmed. Some of the scenes are quite breathtaking. Like the Shanghai scene, and the SkyFall lodge.
And let's not forget the shaving scene with Moneypenny. ;% She is very sexy and that scene is quite hot and it did not rely on blatant sex.
