I saw today the film of the MP Jacob Rees Mogg in the disturbance with some youths. I saw these youths had masks to cover their faces and one tried to punch. I know Mr Rees Mogg is the Brexit MP but he or nobody else should have to have violence like this. I think he did a service to himself to stand up to these people and face them on his own.

I dislike the dilution of the term "fascist". It should be used precisely. But these protesters certainly weaken open society and democracy. Just an example is their behavior during big meet-ups between international leaders. Their violent demonstrations will move these meetings to distant islands or cruise ships guarded by navies, making it impossible for peaceful activists to make their mark on these political events.
Everybody knows that EU (and thus the german) economy gets hurt by a hard Brexit, however there is hope that parts of the market loss can be compensated within the EU.
The lack of UK membership fees must somehow be compensated - on the earning and on the spending side.
However, consensus is that the Brexit damage is bigger for the UK then for the EU countries.

Well in light of the SABS being closed I've set up a temporary bar here in the political discussion lounge. with some coke zero and a selection of nibbles, from Bockhurst bites to some cheese cubes on cocktail sticks in the shape of a hedgehog, for any financial traders I've set up a soup kitchen out back serving chicken entrails soup, and locked all the upstairs windows .
