Absolutely but as with the latest Italian elections. Many are sick of the same old thing,
and want a change. Possible the wrong parties, but if the Main stream politicians don't
put any "Sense of change" on the menu, the electorate will go elsewhere.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Couldn't agree more. The electorate have made it plain that we don't want more of the same-o same-o, yet some politicos insist on serving up exactly that then wonder why there's voter apathy and a rise in "alternative" parties.
I think tp is onto something, it feels like big changes and shifts are starting to happen in how the world works, old unions breaking up and new powers surfacing, after years of free trade deals and mass globalisation it seems the shutters are starting to come down! I only hope the UK doesn't find itself without a chair when the music stops!
Not to start a Brexit Debate, But I think Britain should be a bit more Bullish in its
discussions with the EU, they have as much to lose from a bad deal as Britain. To
listen to some discussions, Britain is the Bad Guy and Europe the Good guy, when in fact
we're all good guys, simply trying to get a fair deal for Both.

Agreed, it's all turned into rather a mess, with too many meddlers, and the media don't help with their agendas and speculation.
Be interesting to see how Britain fares with the US once we leave the Eu. That trade battle instigated by trump has potential to cause major problems.
What often irritasjon me are politicians who don't really answer the questions they are asked. Either they reply to the question they wish the journalist would ask, hoping the media is happy he said something to them at all and just run the clip. Or they repeat over and over again a standardized reply their media advicers has fed them.

You should look up the political horror that is Diana Abbott 8-)
She makes a very comedic watch during interviews
I have to remind you that almost all of us live in the richest, most free and most peaceful places on earth. I think it was Churchill who said: "Democracy is the worst form of government, except every other".
Politicians can be frustrating and sometimes even criminal. But if we buy into the "All politicians are crooks" view, people in hacker factories in Russia high-five each other. That's just the attitude Putin wants to spread. I'm not implying anyone here wants to destroy democracy or work for Putin, but we should see the bigger picture.
True N24 but if the genuine concerns of ordinary voters are dismissed or ignored by mainstream parties they can't complain when voters look towards other ( possibly extreme )
Political parties.
Just because some voters have concerns with a policy, doesn't make them bigots, extremist etc but if the extreme parties are the only ones addressing these issues, then that's who they'll vote for.
The biggest mistake mainstream politicians can make is to ignore these issues, usually through fear of being called extremists themselves ( in these politically correct times ) . The absurdity being that all political correctness will be gone, if the extremist parties win power !

There is much to what you write, TP. I think Sweden is a good example. For years the mainstream parties in the country felt that any critizism of the liberal immigration policy had to be racist and therefore taboo. The editor of one of the major newspapers in Sweden (Aftonbladet) was asked if there are any non-racist reasons to oppose the liberal immigration policy. "I can't think of any" replied the editor. While there are a great many fine immigrants in Sweden who contribute to the common good, one has to wear blindfolds to say the country hasn't got rserious problems with some immigrant communities. Until recently only one party, SverigeDemokratarna (SD), opposed the immigration policy. The party have a neo-nazi background, they even used uniforms in the early 1990's. SD is very much against immigration and this is the issue the party is identified with. The other parties have tried to isolate SD and will not cooperate with them in any way. Recent polls show a support of SD of about 20%. In spite of the neo-nazi background of the party, it's wrong to say al of them are right-wing extremists. Many seem to be ordinary citizens who worry about the large immigration and the problems this leads to, but the parties they voted for earlier ignore. Very recently other parties have expressed worry about these problems and seem to change their politics to some degree. Is it because they see problems that need to be fixed or is it because they need to stop the the leaking of voters to SD? i don't know, but I think it might be both.
Only seven years after the horrible terrorist attacks on Utøya and the government highrise, the most important public buildings in Norway (Royal Palace, Parlament etc) are still not secure.
The lack of police helicopters cost many lives in 2011, so fixing that has gone faster. Oslo got police helicopter service 24/7 now in 2018. Hurrah! X-(
She also said it's best for Norway, Britain and Europe if the UK is as close to the common marketing as possible. I guess the UK is an economic powerhouse already.
Some gossip for the White House spokeswoman: the US and Germany had two very turbulent and public breakups in the 21st century. The settlement after the first breakup was very tough on Germany, but after the second breakup they decided to remain friends because of the children and the neighbours. This has worked fine for years.
Trump backed away from that policy fast enough - and claimed it was a fifty year old policy he heroically ended!
Perhaps Melania threathened a Lysistrata-style boycot? )
If anything terrorists are more likely to attack Oslo airport than the Royal Castle and I fear big time that the guards there will be helpless if those bastards come armed with AK47 or similar
Peter Fonda was even worse. He said Trump's young son should be put in a prison with pedophiles X-(
The fact that Trump is behaving horribly is no reason to dive into the mud with him - quite the oposite.

After a world wide depression, there is a surge in popularity in more right wing parties across
Europe.......
Now I'm not predicting WW3, but ... We are living in Interesting times, as the old Chinese
curse would say.
You know, sometimes I'm glad I'm 60 rather than 20- it's going to be hard going for the younger generations.

With most politicians, it's a distinction without a difference.

To become a Power house in trade after leaving the EU.
Thought this funny. A white house spokes woman said ...
The D day landings were an example of the strong relationship
Between America and ............ Germany ! ) ) )
