It depends on what she brings back from the EU summit, and if that satisfies Herr Seehoffer and the CSU. She can't fire him since she needs his party's support or her coalition will collapse.
I wonder if it will work? Sweden brought back national service because the military simply couldn't recruited enough people for a professional defence force. National Service can be a great recruitment tool and gives people a conection to the armed forces. But are young people in France open to it?

The Mediteranian members have lots of immigrant s regard les if they want them or not, but they too need EU money. Trump was in Montana recently and held a rally for his supporters. He spoke very highly of Putin, as usual. What was new was his attack on president Bush sr. (94), the best Republican president in my liftime IMO. Trump has no shame.
As somebody who considers my politics to be moderate, I often find myself deeply researching issues because I don’t have a party line to toe. I have been looking into this “locking children in cages” story. All I see is protests, people apologizing for the US, comparing Trump to Hitler, etc.
I am obviously against the practice, but as near as I can tell, this was going on before Trump even entered politics, and I’m looking for someone to explain to me why nobody spoke out about this before. Why were previous administrations not given any criticism? What am I missing here?

Here is an article from June 2014, when Obama was President, clearly showing children in cages. As a matter of fact, some of these pictures are still being used to protest Trump.
Here is Obama’s speechwriter, Jon Favreau, using one of those pictures to decry the Trump administration, when it was HIS administration that did it. I don’t remember him expressing any outrage then. The tweet has since been deleted...
Also in 2014, Congressman Jim McGovern toured the same facility that protestors have now surrounded. If you look through the news archives of his own site you can still see the story he posted. Children in cells and cages are clearly seen.
He said at the time “As a father, it was heartbreaking to see these kids in small, crowded holding cells. They are not criminals. They are children in need of protection.”
Lastly, here is CNN, hardly a pro-Trump outlet, asking Senator Tammy Baldwin why she is only speaking up about this issue now. I would argue the same question could have been asked to the reporter herself.
So what am I missing here, guys? This was an issue clearly being reported on in the news and social media before Trump took office, so why has this only now become an issue? Why didn’t Obama receive the same heat that Trump now is?
That depends on whether May's (possible) departure forces an election, owing to her running a minority government propped up by the DUP and their reaction to it.

I kinda hope May hangs on a bit longer, just so David and Johnson's replacements can be seen to be demonstrably better at their jobs then these two lazy incompetents.
In Johnson's case, this utter buffoon must be the worst British Foreign Secretary in the history of the position. All the leaks from the Foreign Office indicate that they are more than glad to see the back of him.
Too many in British politics want power without responsibility - obviously never read Spider-Man when they were growing up!
It looks to me like this government has last quite a lot of bargaining power since negotiations started.
