Putting together my first "canon" bond outfit........need some help

Hi all, I hope everything is well. Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I am putting together my first full "screen accurate" outfit. With fall coming on, I figure that giving the Skyfall "Scotland" outfit a go would be fitting. I have a friend who has 2 pairs of C&J Islay boots; one in the brown scotch grain and another in the rough out suede, and both pairs are basically mint. He wants to get rid of both pairs as he just recently moved to Florida, and is willing to sell them to me for $450. So. My question relates to sizing. For those of you who own the Islay's, or other C&J's on the 365 last, how do they fit? I'm a size 9D (U.S) and both pairs are size 9 U.S. I'd love to jump on the deal, but want to be sure they will fit me. Thanks any and all for your help in the matter!

Don't own a pair of the Islay's unfortunately so can't comment on fit and sizing, but your idea to go with the Skyfall Scotland outfit is a great place to start in my book. Good luck with completing the look :007)

Should be fine, I wear a 9US in Crockett Jones and between a 9-10 in Nike. Also at the price he is selling them to you, you could easily resell them so you do not loose anything.

    Best,

True, reselling would be an option in the event that they don't fit. After some correspondence with a C&J rep, it seems that they'll fit just fine. Thanks man!

I own the Islays in a UK8 and I'm typically a 41EU in most shoes, size 9US in trainers like Nike and Adidas. I've got the C&J Chelsea 5 in a 7.5UK, but I was told by a C&J rep that you can typically go up a 1/2 size in boots on the 365 last, like the Islays, due to how that last fits and the fact that you can cinch the boots tighter because of the lacing.

With that said, if you're considering selling the rough-out suede Islays, let me know. I'm interested. I was eyeing a pair at Barney's that were $250 clearance, and I ended up passing on them. But I love the look of that suede.

    Kind regards,
    Craig
