There were also some in front of me in the grandstand with them on.

I work for one of the teams out here

Last year I popped in to the hotel from the PTS. Had a chat with the manager when he came out of "room 327" his office.
Made a little video as well sneaking in to the ornate lifts

How accurate were those you saw, I pretty sure the one above was one of the originals?

To paraphrase a well known saying 'its life imitating art'; apparently Mexico City had a Day of the Dead parade bigger than they usually had on the back of the Spectre PTS. Obviously saw how well it went and thought "we should do something like that as its our culture" and it could be good for tourism business.
This years parade was to honour the victims and rescuers of the Mexican quake.
Be good to see who has commissioned these masks because, as Gadget Meister says, they do look good! More likely it was Sky who just used a photo of an original in their promotion of the Grand Prix.

I agree that it was an original, if not, there’s a long queue to get hold of these :)

Nice, I just got back from a trip to Mexico earlier this month. I was hoping to find sometime more Spectre inspired however there wasn't anything directly related. I did however purchase quite a few day of the dead souvenirs (magnets, a shirt etc.). I also got a nice branded F1 Heineken bottle to remember the trip by as well.

Is it the bottle with the mexican colours on the front?
As we are sponsored by Heineken we have a fridge full!

haha that's the one. I thought it was unique to mexico so I picked it up at the airport. It has nothing to do with me feeling like having a beer at 11am ;)
