The one we have all been waiting for has arrived with a nice shot of a Stembridge Gun Rentals Zella Mehlis Walther PPK in the titles sequence and images of Carey Lowell which will make you want to whack yer todger (if you have one?) with a hammer!
Sorry good AJBers, this edition is already sold out. Yes it really is that good! -{
Look what just popped through the letter box -{
I had reservations about 007 Magazine’s Redux editions which I thought were just reissues of earlier editions however what Graham and Robert have produced are remastered editions of previously published magazines but with HD images and more importantly new images some of which have not been seen before -{
Following on from Graham’s interview on here, I’ve never read any issues of 007 Magazine (or indeed been a member of the fan club back in the day!)
I admit to reading MI6 Confidential, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions for trying out 007 Magazine. I can see quite a few are focussed on a particular subject or area. Any recommendations for issues which might be a good introduction to the publication - ones to get a good feel for it’s style and content etc? Or any ideas on the differences between MI6 and 007?
Ppw306r not sure if you’re associated with the magazine, or just an enthusiastic reader, but you seem to be very familiar with the publication, so if you have any thoughts I’d be interested. -{

I had the honour once of writing an issue of 007 Magazine which sold out. 007 Magazine started back in the 1980s as an A5 sized photocopy however it did not really explode onto the scene until 1983 just in time to cover Sean Connery’s return to the big screen as James Bond in Never Say Never Again. Graham Rye is an authority on everything which is Ian Fleming. Graham writes with a passion. If he thinks something is crap he says so. To me receiving a copy of 007 Magazine is an event which needs to be read cover to cover. As a recommendation I would suggest The Goldfinger Portfolio which covered 5 special issues. It was and is fantastic. There were also special 50th Anniversary issues for Thunderball and You Only Live Twice. Looking forward expect a 50th Anniversary issue for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The thing which has always amazed this Donkey over the years is the photo content where Graham has a gift for sourcing images which very few including EON have seen before!

Was hoping these would just be re-prints of issues I already had…should have known better with Rob being involved…looks like I’ll have to open the wallet again
I´m not involved with 007 Magazine, AndrewBond, but I assure you that this is a fantastic publication, much better than the mi6 confidential (I got a couple of these. Not bad, but you can't compare...).

I have read quite a few issues of 007 magazine in my time and they have never left me feeling disappointed. Not only do I learn quite a bit of information that I did not know before, the pictures(many of which I have not seen before) are quite stunning. Looking forward to adding the fifth issue of the Goldfinger retrospective to my collection very soon. In the meantime, I am looking forward to reading the interview with Robert Davi in the Licence To Kill 30th anniversary issue.
Have these originals from when I was a JBIFC gold card member, along with the original paperwork I got from them. Think I've still got some JBIFC polo shirts somewhere too

Since FRWL is my favorite film in the series, I certainly hope that issue of 007 magazine featuring it is still going to be produced. I am defiantly get the Daniel Craig issue for my collection. Looking forward to reading the articles and seeing all the pictures.
