    Thanks for all the information, based on the pics and review I agree with everyone. I am weighing sizing as well, I typically take a medium because my shoulders and chest are too big for a small, yet the medium lengths typically are a tad long. Well it is either the coat or an N Peal Skyfall sweater, a little more research is needed on both for me but you have got me started on the right foot.

    I think this is going to be my next Bond clothing purchase. My goal is to get one "grail" item per year and based on this site the Barbour fits the category. I am petrified of the sizing even after doing the research. I am 5'7, 145, 38s in jackets but I am somewhat broad in the shoulders. I am going to purchase a medium because a small will absolutely not work and I will be swimming in a large. I have mediums for the Royale Solden and Harrington so I will purchase based on that. The End Clothing link isn't working today so I may have to wait on it.

    A lot has happened since I last updated this thread. I contacted Barbour about getting the alterations and they said any warranty would be voided if I had a third party do the altering, but I could just let them know how many inches I wanted the jacket taken in in certain places. I wasn't the biggest fan of the vagueness in that and the inability to actually work with a tailor on it (not to mention that it also would have been very expensive). Because of that, I listed it on eBay, hoping I could at least make back my money on it ($350). I started the price at $250, and when I went to check on it later in the week, it was at over $600! The only reason I can think of why it sold so high is because End Clothing took it off their website for a couple weeks and there were no retailers online where you could find new ones to purchase.

    Since then, End Clothing had the jackets on sale again, but this time for just under $300 (thoughtfully posted by another forum member on here)! I took a chance and bought a medium (contrary to the large I first bought). This one fits 10x better. I feel tightness in the armholes, though nothing that is too irritating. The shoulders are tight when I'm moving around, but nothing that would make me want to opt for a different size. I'll see if I can get some updated pictures on here this week.

    I really lucked out in terms of the size large selling for so high on eBay and then End Clothing putting the jacket back on sale at an even cheaper discount for me to order a medium.

    I'm struggling to think of different scenarios to wear it. Do current owners wear it as a daily jacket (weather pending), or more so just for certain occasions?

    Glad to hear you worked the sizing out, as I know how difficult it can be to get the right size in this jacket. I live in Florida and wear this jacket only with the SA accompanying clothing, so cords, boots, a Henley and the NPeal cashmere sweater. I find the best temperature to be 40-50 F in the dark or cloudy/rainy weather. I did 30-40 F in the sun the other week. I cannot wear this jacket indoors as it does not breathe at all. Without a sweater underneath, I’ve worn the jacket with the henly in 50-60 partly sunny weather. It’s a very country style jacket and best suit d for walks or hikes in parks and city crawling, not a great mall jacket. Hope that helps. -{
