Another TF dream realised

So following on from the Harrington dream coming through Im sat on a train home having just completed the full mtm experience at TF London.

Ordered the Skyfall charcoal stripe and Qos Greene Party suits...
Fabric for the latter gone but identical fabric chosen with help from factory swatches...
Discovered things today I didnt know about my body, dropping right shoulder, strong lats etc...
Disappointingly my undercarriage doesnt cause a male cameltoe (requires a TF crotch fix apparently :)))

Thanks go to Luigi / Warren at TF and also Matt S for helping me get the details right....

Now the wait for final fitting when they arrive mid Feb

Oh and better speak to the Bank about that remortgage 8-)

Beautiful shirt! Was the pin collar silver in the film?

Its a silvery gold in reality, picture seems to have turned it very silver , which looks right and suits me as dont have anything gold re watches, wedding ring or cufflinks

Ah ok, I have the same shirt but the OTR one from the Spectre collection and the pin always looked gold-ish to me. I'm relieved its not another inaccurate oversight like the ski jacket pockets.

Sounds the same shade, not a solid bold gold but more of a champagne gold....
I actually asked if they could do it in silver but was informed this is the SA shade

No intention of sexism at all, just a light hearted joke my compadre. Im fairly sure he wasnt considering it in reality...

And I am happy to have humour directed at me as most on here are...

In Turkey recently, whilst on a sailing holiday, I was offered half a farm for my wife, she was outraged, but much happier when I haggled and got the whole farm.
    True story.
And Sar is still with me by the way....

The question is, how big a farm? And what is the crop?

Final fitting completed yesterday, small tweeks to waist and shoulders on jackets required. Cuffs and hems to be done too. Up to me Friday fingers crossed.
Warren has really got the detail, ensuring every last detail is SA on both...

Oh dear, thought everything was going too well...
The tailor has added 5 buttons to the Granborough suit jacket cuff, despite being sent pictures etc!!!
New sleeves being made in Milan 8-)
Poor Warren, gutted after all his detailing, and let down by the tailor. Think the same happened to another ajb member too???

Yip it’s happened to me a couple of times although the suit was never right when it came back, stitching done badly and they also snagged the back of the suit and did not care, so be very careful what you get back.

Considering the cost of a Tom Ford suit and the fact that you provided detailed instructions with photos its obvious that this situation should not have occurred. I imagine you're gutted but i know if invested all this time and money and my suit came back wrong i'd probably would have blown a gasket. Hopefully they're able to get everything fixed quickly and you don't encounter any more issues. I sure hope they are going to compensate you for the inconvenience?

Thanks Ross for the advice. I remember you (or someone) had the issue. Ive asked that the jacket goes back to the factory, want it 100% as should be and sort of have doubts the sleeve heads / shoulders etc would be if done in London....

Indeed, question asked and confirmed something will be done... Its not really the time issue as a few weeks wont kill me, if it goes back to the factory there wont be any issue integrity wise. But something to say "sorry" seems appropriate. Feel for Warren as I believe hes as gutted as me :#

Ahh mate that's no good. I'm very glad you've got Warren as the one helping you though this whole process though, he seems fantastic with all this and and sounds like he's going above and beyond to get it to come out perfect (and as SA as possible) for you.

The only issue that can come up would be if the new fabric doesn't match if it's not from the same dye lot. The same exact from a different dye lot can look a little different. In a pattern it would be less noticeable than in a solid.

    Wise words Matt
They had 30 metres of the last fabric run left, before my suit, so probably not an issue... Msg sent to ensure it does tho...
