Tom Ford, Magnoli, and Royale Solden Jacket Stitching

Hello everyone. I've been looking at pictures of the original Tom Ford Solden jacket, and it looks like the ribbed stitching of the wool becomes less pronounced as it goes down the jacket. Can anyone with one confirm that? I'm looking at both the Magnoli and Royale versions of the jacket and comparing them to the original (Royale seems most true to the original, but I haven't seen any photos of a Magnoli one outside of the website; if anyone has one could you please provide photos?). Also, it seems like the cuffs, aren't ribbed on the Tom Ford jacket, also looking for confirmation.

Thanks!

P.S. I like the almost black look of the jacket in the film, and am wondering if anyone actually bought a black version.

Are you talking about the QOS Harrington or?!

No I was talking about the Solden jacket. Sorry I mentioned that in the title but not in the body.

Ah sorry, didn’t really look properly at the title. Anyway I would say there’s no comparison between the two — Royale’s and Magnoli’s. While I haven’t seen the Magnoli outside of the website, I’d say without hesitation that the Royale is both more accurate and easily much better value. Firstly the Royale is up to version 3, so 3 versions of tinkering by its creator going to insane levels of detail to try and make it 100% as screen accurate as possible. You can look at the Royale Solden thread on here to see just how much work has gone into this jacket. Secondly you have to look at the price; the Royale Solden is around half the price, $200, cheaper for a what I believe to be far more superior product.

Are you looking at purchasing one though or are you just comparing them to the TF?

I am looking at purchasing one yes. After shipping the cost difference is about $145 between the two. I agree the Royale one is better as is, and the size of the medium (which is still in stock) is pretty close to what I'm looking for. The Magnoli one, if bought based on the pictures on the site, is definitely not as accurate - be that because of lighting or whatnot. However, Magnoli's products are renowned for their seemingly unlimited, free (mostly) customization, and are made to measurements that you provide. I'm trying to weigh the benefit of having a perfect fit for that $145, since I can simply request the jacket to be as close/different to the TF one as I like. The tempting part is that I can have the Magnoli one made in wool if I wanted, as opposed to the cotton of the Royale, which isn't customizable.

Edit - Some people say the Royale jacket is wool, but the website says cotton, so I'm not sure.
