New Sunspel Ian Fleming Collection

I see Sunspel just started an Ian Fleming Sea Island Cotton collection.

I remember back in the 90s a company called Carstarphen or something like that released Sea Island Cotton shirts. I wouldn't be surprised if these new Sunspel ones show up in the next movie.

I love Sunspel. I buy and wear a lot of their clothes. But £150 for Boxer shorts is taking the piss.

I have just received one of the Sea Island Cotton shirts from this collection and it is absolutely superb. The quality is wonderful, it feels crisp yet soft, and I can't wait for warmer days to wear it.

Me too and on a business trip this week in Far East and spent most of the week in my Riveria collection both Bond and non Bond. Just perfect for this climate.

You have to trust Sunspel have done their market research and believe there are buyers at that price otherwise you have to admire their self belief!

Nothing really turns me on in this collection but if Bond wears a couple of items, well then we are all b*ggered!

    Cheers :007)

I love Sunspel clothing and I think I’ve got 5 Riviera polo shirts alone. I popped into one of the stores to check out this new collection. Whilst looking good and high quality I couldn’t pay £185 for a polo shirt.

To be honest I always have to think twice about going into their stores. The staff are always friendly but a little intrusive. In contrast I visited an Orlebar Brown store afterwards and the staff were friendly but kept their distance until I asked for their help which I prefer.
    Yes. Considerably!

I've never been into a Sunspel shop, but I do know what you mean about aggressive staff. I'm all for a friendly hello and a "may I help" but as soon as they start stalking or asking too many questions I suddenly have a compulsion to shop elsewhere!

    Same here.
This is the reason why I prefer to shop on the Internet.

I bought one shirt of Susnpel last year. It is really comfortable and even so feasible for me. All my friends whom I recommended this brand, all of them like its costumes.

Yeah they clearly sell a lot of the expensive stuff. However, the end of season sales, when the stuff is 70% off, you have to wonder how much its costing to make. Especially as the main bulk of the production has moved to Turkey and not the UK.

The most recent Riviera I bought was made in Portugal. All my previous ones were made in Turkey.
