James Bonding podcast?

Only just getting into podcasts and discovered this: http://www.earwolf.com/show/james-bonding/ the James Bonding Podcast run by two big fans and guests - including Derek Miller from the Ian Fleming Foundation and involved with the docos at the end of the 90s.

It has been around since late 2013 and tends to release bi-weekly, but had a 6 month break following Spectre until Sir Roger's death and now they're turning them out again.

The first 10 are a bit rough, but they settle down and at around 2 hours long each, they do go into good detail and I have been enjoying their perspectives.

Anyone else listened to these?

    I listened to them, but not a fan really. There are better ones out there in my opinion.

    The best by far is James Bond Radio. Those guys know everything about Bond.

    Other good ones: On her majesty's secret podcast and Podcasters Royale. Bond & Beyond is also good.

    Thanks, I will check them out. I've stopped listening to the James Bonding ones because those guys just seem like **** and mostly don't talk about the films. They also have a niche knowledge of certain things in the films and get quite a bit wrong (Brosnan using the p99 throughout his tenure). Also, their guests aren't fans.

    For defunct podcasts I like For Your Ears Only on Earth-2.net for reviews of the films through Skyfall and Her Majesty's Secret podcast for a look at all aspects of James Bond. The latter unfortunately stopped production a couple years ago and the archive of early episodes is a bit spotty.

    Currently I like the Bond and Beyond podcast and Podcasters Royale.

    I second JBR. It’s by huge Bond fans who know their stuff, and they get fantastic guests.

    JBR is the gold standard, I've been listening to them from the beginning and can count on one hand the number of mistakes.

    Bond & Beyond is always a pleasurable listen.

    On Her Majesty's Secret Podcast is okay, they recently interviewed Raymond Benson without doing much research, and they didn't even listen to his answers.

    Being James Bond is great, but new episodes are few and far between.

    Podcasters Royale is entertaining.

    James Bonding is bad, as previously mentioned.

    Bondcast (there are several but the one I'm thinking of has been around for almost 5 years) is absolutely terrible.

    It's like I'm sitting in a pub discussing the Bond world with a couple of mates. What they, or their guests, don't know about Bond isn't worth knowing. I'm really glad I discovered JBR I just wish it had been a bit earlier as I've so much to catch up on (not necessarily a bad thing I know).

    JBR you should listen on itunes. You can also then hear the music reviews, which are not on YouTube. They are by far the best. Agree with the other comments also on the other podcasts.

    I appreciate people putting effort in podcasts, but I always wonder why making a podcast if you know nothing about the movies or hardly a fan. James Bonding and Bondcast are in that category. They mock the films, but know nothing about them.

    James Bond Complex is quite good too. They also cover the novels.

    James Bonding is great for when you don't want to listen to people who share your exact opinions on the franchise. It's not a podcast for expert knowledge, but do we look like we need one? Everyone loves something in their own way and it's fun to hear other perspectives, even irreverent ones. Also, one of the hosts made these amazing fake adverts for fictional Bond Theme Park attractions:

    Matt and Matt announced on the new episode that they’re going to be taking a break for awhile. It sounds like when they do come back it won’t be in the same form or as often, and might even be a Patreon only thing (which a number of podcasts I listen to have done).

    Bond & Beyond is a good recommendation. They are British and I think they are the only podcast that comes a bit close to JBR. Really entertaining, but still with respect to the movies.
