Well just got back from a lovely swim ) and wanted to show off my replica Seagull Diving Headgear as seen in Goldfinger.
My replica includes a 1960's era leather bicycle helmet as well as an original 1960 era DRAGER double hose regulator (aqua blue that has discolored over time) with accurate yellow clamps.
After my research (and some advice by diving gear collectors), I am satisfied that the propmakers likely used a DRAGER regulator with a black double hose painted blue to contrast with the murky water. Drager indeed offered a regulator with yellow clamps. Sure enough, I was able to find pictures of an original black hose DRAGER with a blue custom paint job. After comparing pics to what you see on screen, you can see some of the same hallmarks you find in the closeups.
Lastly, while I initially thought it was a duck a top Bond's head, it is likely a stuffed Great black-backed gull.
While largely a silly moment in the film, the piece always left an indelible impact and it was fun to do.

Have you tested it?
That’s really cool - we’ll done!

Looks a bit like a tank driver or parachutist's headgear.
It’s an antique leather bike helmet.

Unfortunately the biggest challenge is hunting the right regulator. It took me ten years! I’m sure they are out there somewhere!
