Need help from and EEA memeber regarding a purchase

Hello,

I purchased a Beacon Sports Jacket from The Idle Man but on their website it says they cannot deliver Barbour outside the EEA. I contacted them to see what my options are, but if they cannot deliver, would someone here be willing to take delivery and then forward it on to me in the states? Please let me know.

Remember you will possibly get hit with duties if they send to the states

If the declared value is under $800 you should be fine if shipped to the States.

DHL charged me "duties" for a $ 400 item.
My second exact order was via Royal Mail - no duties.
So how do I fight DHL for the ransom they always demand? My policy is always to avoid DHL to begin with.
