C&J Islays on adventure again

Anyone care for a guess where this may be ... you can see the Islays in the front left of the photo somewhere ...

    I thought so, that's the last Skyfall location I would like to visit. Been to just about every spot located in London as well as Glencoe.

    Was fascinating to see. Went to the exact spot they built the lodge at and found quite a few moments - piece of balsa wood that looks like it could have come from a set build, pieces of green plastic that formed some sort of set support I reckon and numerous spent blank cartridges. I'm going to assume these were from the movie but it is MoD land so could be from training as well- but it was in the exact spot where the house stood.

    Heres my screen shot and real life comparison side by side. (apologies for quality I'm not too good at this sort of thing)

    Most of the debris you will find there now will be from the numerous excerises held there. I have it on good authority most of the recruit training courses from a local establishment will take part in the Battle of Skyfall hill at some point during their basic training, and all without the aid of a Merlin or DB4 :D

    Some of the pieces there wouldn't have been there from training though, the wood especially and the plenty of markers I found, holes with supports dug into them, These were found at the house site rather than in the hill part as well.

    Looks like you had a good time.

    Here's something that might be of interest.... a blog from when the sites were being built on location.

    Nice blog, I love things like that. It was definitely worth the trip there (not far for me), and the Islays certainly enjoyed the walk !

    I'll have to pay it a visit next time I'm in the area - but I'm based in the Midlands - so not sure when that'll be.

    ... not to mention the Islays you found there.... :D

    Great pics, I was shooting (clays) nearby a couple of weeks ago (wearing Barbour Commander and self-dyed Iggys too :)) ) - I need to go back as I'd love to see the site. -{
