Looking for advice on buying Crockett And Jones Islay Boot

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about getting the Islay boot. I see on the Crocket and Jones website the price is not $775 but on other third party website its still at $650. Does anyone have advice on buying and getting them shipped to the US? What is the average customs fee? Do they ever go on sale? Or is there website that I should be buying from if they are being shipped to the us.

I recall from a conversation at one of the London stores that many of their shoes are never discounted at their stores, I imagine the Islay's would be one of them as they included shoes like the Tetbury, Norwich and so on.

Thank you for the replies. I am going to try them on at the NYC store and make sure first but I believe if I buy them there they are $775. If I buy online from a 3rd party retailer they are $650 but I'm not sure what duties and shipping will add up to.

I had a feeling they never go on sale..

Keep in that if you buy them from the NYC store you'll probably be taxed at 8.875%. If you buy online from an oversees site you shouldn't have any duties because your purchase is under $800 but shipping may be a little expensive because of the weight of the shoes. I do know that Crockett and Jones had a price increase effective March 5th but i agree with you that these boots never seem to go on sale
