I know there is some passionate feelings about OB's first official entry into 007 but I thought people here might still like to see their full merchandise shots:
The way the models are wearing them makes them look worse than I thought! I like that they paired a light blue polo with the Dr. No shorts, but all the other combinations look off.
Dear Sirs,
May I ask your advice on choosing the right size in those 007 Bulldogs?
My OB trunks Setter from six years ago are a 32 and fitting.
The 007 Bulldogs I received (which seem to be made from a different material) in size 32 are somewhat baggy, in size 31 they are quite fitted.
Seems, I’m in between sizes.
My question is: To your experiences, do the recent OB trunks shrink, do they widen (especially when wet)? Do you recommend sizing up or down?
I would appreciate your replies.
Thank you!
Best regards,

Hi Seven, I have a pair of Setters and a pair of Springers and the Setters are a bit baggier (not so much in the waist, just in the fit overall). I can imagine that the Bulldog is even bagier still (again, not in the waist). Won't the side adjusters be sufficient for the difference between the two sizes? I.e. take the larger size and use the side adjusters to make it a bit smaller?
o please just make the jantzen thunderball swimming trunks with the navy belt ... its a no brainer ...pretty please
Jantzen X OB would be pretty cool indeed, but would require a license.
They could copy the style without a licence, but they wouldn't be able to mention that they were copying Jantzen. Sunspel copied Connery's shorts from Woman of Straw, and whoever originally made those didn't speak up!
This is much more promising! Let’s just hope they don’t smack “007” branding on everything, or I suspect the reaction here will be even more visceral....
So I was clicking around OB's site for a beach hoodie and saw their custom swim trunk section. If you want to make your own super tacky prints you can. I'm seriously considering this photo of my dog chasing my gf's dog. But $600 is kind of obscene for what's basically a joke. I do like the idea of taking my dog to the beach in these though.
Went to the OB store in London to pick up my free #obsaroundtheworld t shirt and left a blazer, t shirt and trainers and £500 lighter. Damn marketing trick had me fooled. Very nice people though and showed me the yet to be on sale JB shorts.
Dont wait for your ship to come in. Swim out and meet the bloody thing.

They have, and it will be part of Phase II of their Homage to Bond line that's being announced soon. Check out The Bond Experience live Vlog that David did at the reveal of their collection on the 11th April:

It is indeed embargoed but a PROPER vlog will be released May 15th, along with a special Live Stream from a 'secret location'.....ooooooooh, the mystery!

Cheers for that, I saw David' reveal, this was more me going through this old thread and seeing how many of our wish list items did indeed come to pass in that OB live event reveal!
Do we know if the collection will be exclusive to the Orlebar Brown website/stores or will it be available through other retail channels ( Mr. Porter, Department stores, etc.)?

Hmmmmm...!!
Nice looking shirts by the way too...
Indifference is the word I'd use. The cut of the trunks is nice though.

When wet, the get a bit wider, but not much.

For me it was on of the highlights of the collection, along with the safari jacket.
edit. Whoops- the link doesn't work! It was a live stream, but David will be posting a proper vlog soon.

The video is unavailable now, wonder if it has to do with embargos and such until they do a full reveal?

They sadly didn't do that one, the solid blue shirt or the blue and pink gingham shirts. Only the pink one was there.
I guess they needed to leave some options for the next run.
Did the pink shirt have the straight hem like the Connery shirt and the Mason & Sons version?
They fit true to size (IMHO).
