    SENSATIONAL!!

What an inspired choice for the car. One of my favourite bond cars and fantastic to see it again. Genuinely didn't think that it would be back and chuffed to see this news.

I think its really positive and i think the overall feel and visuals are falling nicely in place and im really upbeat about how this film will turn out. Let the positivity continue and more pics!

    Happy all round

Also, VG's article is updated, adding:
Wednesday morning the Storseisund bridge is basking in sun, and the sea is completely calm. An orange film helicopter has flown a few test rounds very close to the bridge. The Bond car drives multiple times over the bridge, in glorious sunlight, with the helicopter hanging so low over it that you get a suck in your stomach just by looking at it from distance. And if there's any doubts, the pictures show that it's definitely not Daniel Craig sitting in the driver's seat on these test runs.

Video from NRK TV. There's nothing new in the article.

    I know this is a post regarding Bond 25 Title but it contains a minor spoiler so thought I would post here instead of the Title thread;

Do you think the longer production continues without a title, the more likely the title will just end up being 'James Bond' ? The more I think of it, the more I think they may plump for something very traditional given it's the 25th "Anniversary" film.

So, something like James Bond or 007 or as a nod to Dr No., Professor Swann, If the kidnapped scientist theory is anything to go by. Perhaps Professor Swann could be Madeleine's mother? Or Madeleine is now a Professor? Or merge the 25th Anniversary theme with the much rumoured Shatterhand title with a nod to what is arguably the most famous and classic Bond film of them all Goldfinger by calling it Silverhand ?

    Just thinking out loud.. ?:)

Agreed! I love that we’re going to see this car again! What a pleasant surprise.

Excellent work, Number24. But then again, SPECTRE accepts only excellence from its members. ;)

As for the title (wrong thread, I know) I truly hope they DON'T go for the "iconic" James Bond and/or 007. Bond works best as an episodic series, not as a continuing saga. These would give this movie a sense of finality. Then again, if it ends up being the final EoN production (hopefully not) I could go for it.

I hope Number23 on Jamaica works as hard keeping up with 007 as I do, for his own good ….. :v

Mods: as somebody already said yesterday, this forum NEEDS a "Like" function.

EDIT: Also, Number24, we call it Station J for short. :D

Video report from TV2. Nothing really New. There's an ambulance and a fire truck there, obviously. The police escorted a couple of cars "that are not approved for driving on Norwegian roads" to the location. I'm guessing two Aston Martins with some changes done for stunt driving.

    Fantastic work Number 24 {[]
I'm very pleased with this choice of car. I wonder if it will be winterised like in TLD.
It was either that.....or the priesthood

The Land Rover and Toyota (I'm guessing the reason there are two cars of each type is to have a spare if something happens) are modern I think, so I don't think this scene is a part of a flashback. I'm happy they're using the AM from TLD, I've always liked that car. :007)

The filming on the Atlantic Sea Road has stopped for today. One can see the registration number on the AM very clearly on the photo:

Thanks N24! {[] This is absolutely fantastic news! I've thought before they should bring the OHMSS DBS back as Bond's classic car (make a change from the DB5 all the time) so this in my eyes is a master stroke, big thumps up to the production team. The TLD Vantage is my favourite Bond car so whatever happens here on in, Bond25 is officially awesome! :)) Obviously, I'm blissfully ignoring the whole time-line thing in that this car was blown up in TLD. Just hope it doesn't end up in the drink this time round.. :#

It doesn't matter that it was blown up because Craig's films live in a separate timeline. It will probably be blown up in this film too.

It's definitely going to share some wintry gadgets with the TLD version. One of the best Bond cars ever!

That is a spectacular bit of road, what a shame the twits in the bmws ruined the road!

To get a driver's lisence here you have to learn how to drive on a slippery road, that's what these tracks are for. A part of the training is to learn how to avoid hitting pedestrians in the road, and the blue figures are used in this training. The stuntmen could be using these figures to train for a spesific scene, but those blue dolls are perfectly normal on a track like this.

An eagle-eyed member of the Other Place has discovered one of the Range Rovers has what looks like a Russian lisence plate, probably Chechnya. It's certainly not Norwegian:
    https://dbstatic.no/71151586.jpg?imageId=71151586&width=1024&height=615

    Typical Norwegian registration plates: http://www.showplate.se/butik/images/Norsk%20435%20x%2090%20mm%20med%20flagg.png

    Russian registration plates: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Russia#/media/File:Russian_registration_2621.jpg

I don't know what this means, but it has to mean something.
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,340MI6 Agent
But is it Russian? The wikipedia page about Russian regtration plates says : "The current format uses a letter followed by 3 digits and two more letters." The Range Rover has two letters, then four numbers followed by two more letters. The letters don't even look Cyrilic. The letters "St" seen on the plate are not in the Russian alphabet.

Thsi photo shows the regitration plates of the second Range Rover. Can anyone tell me the nationality of these plates?

Yes, I tried to zoom in even more and I'm pretty sure I saw a Russian flag on the first photo. This can't be accidental. The most likely explainations are Russian villan in Norway (I'm pretty sure the drivers are supposed to be villans) or the Atlantic Sea Road is standing in for Russia. :o

I wonder how they’re going to explain the car? It’s one thing for Bond to tool around in a vintage Aston Martin in Great Britain or on holiday in the French Riviera, but on a mission in Norway? Or Russia, as the plates might suggest? Does Bond have vintage Astons stashed all over Europe? Does MI6?

I realize it’s a Bond movie, and I love that car, but I hope its presence doesn’t take me out of the film (as most of Bond’s self-referential moments tend to do).

Russia is the largest country on Earth so I won't rule out they have landscapes like the west coast of Norway, but I doubt it. It's certainly not the type of landscape that screams "Russia". I think it's most likely it's Russians in Norway. I think the Hodges/Boyle script involved Russians, so perhaps this is from their script?
