“It’s a tie-up of Skyfall and Spectre. But with massive, massive surprises that even had me like, ‘Oh, wow!’ So I think we’re going to really shock people.”
“I would say that he’s reconnected with his heart. We’re definitely seeing a Bond who’s more in touch with his feelings and more open to falling in love.”
It’s just about moving with the times and recognising that women can no longer be seen as eye candy.”
Well, as Bond tells us himself in The Skyfall "What makes you think this is my first time?"
You can take it away from there...

The return of love interest Dr Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux) from 2015’s Spectre is, therefore, no coincidence. As Harris adds, “At the end of Spectre there are women he gives his career up for:”
Well, we know one massive 'surprise' is Lashana being 007. I hope we're not going to get a Tanner is a traitor surprise. Women he gives up his career for? Surely it's only Madeleine? Or is she including M, 'Olivia Mansfield', as her posthumous video sends Bond on his mission?
Tying up Skyfall and Spectre? Didn't Spectre sort of do that with the posthumous video of Judi Dench's M and the posters of Silva (among others) in the MI6 hq detention cells?
I can see NTTD as a straight sequel to Spectre, but I can't see a Skyfall link thematically or otherwise. The villain wasn't explicitly Spectre, the subtext was mothers and sons, a theme was resurrection or being reborn - Bond goes back to his ancestral home to defeat his enemy. If Bond goes back to MI6 at the end of NTTD, I guess that's sort of a restart, but in Skyfall he allegedly dies, and that's why it was resurrection.
I can see an NTTD with a normal run time that has Blofeld lurking in the background a la FRWL, with Malek as the main villain, and Madeleine the main Bond girl, with Ana a shag/die Bond girl, and Lashana dying at the end so Bond can reclaim his 007 status, but if they are really going to try to give Bond and Madeleine character arcs and properly address the themes, beyond superficial nods, then NTTD is either going to be a 3h movie (as that clapperboard with scene 253 suggests), or we're getting two movies. Though I admit that feels less likely now.

We know Rami Malek and DC kissed on the set of NTTD, so maybe Bond just gives up women...
I think those not keen on political correctness, strong women, Scooby Gang, emotional ties/baggage and Bond being one of the lead characters in an ensemble cast, may wish to brace themselves for this one..
It's occurred to me that, current thinking on NTTD has Bond and Madeleine chased in Matera and then going their separate ways to protect Madeleine's life, with Bond living in seclusion in Jamaica until Leiter turns up.
But, considering Quantum (Bond goes Rogue to hunt those that killed his love), Skyfall (returns to help MI6 after it's attacked) and Spectre (hunts down those linked to M's death, "If anything happens to me 007, I need you to do something..."), wouldn't DC's Bond go after Spectre to stop it being a threat while Madeleine lives in seclusion until it's safe?
Her comments fit in with Babs: Bond has to learn some MeToo lesson within the context of the storyline which is passive aggressively calling the entire history of the franchise sexist and ergo the audience. I couldn't think of a better example of company suicide.
I couldn't think of a better example of company suicide than passive aggressively calling the entire history of your franchise sexist and ergo your audience.
I guess that means you'll never watch another one then? Okay.

Censorship has a way of magnifying what it tries to suppress. Human anatomy has been targeted on and off through all human history so calling it progress is delusional. It is usually followed by a period of enlightenment.

Bigotry? Yes it has seemed that way lately. As you say, I'm sure they'll be enlightened and work it out sooner or later.
Isn’t Craig’s bond supposed to have been SBS, and therefore a Royal Marine.... Boatneck s kissing other blokes is very normal, those guys will do anything for a pint!

I do wish they went into Craig Bond's SBS (or just general navy) history and got him in his uniform at least once before DC's tenure is up...but unfortunately "shocking spoiler" I don't think that's going to happen from the looks of it.

I dont think it would be a good look for Danie the actors we have seen in uniform all had enough height to carry it. The naval cap would look odd with Daniels sticky out jus ears would not show him off to his best advantage. Its a difficult look to pull off, Pierce was fine but his hair too long to wear with a cap marred it. Best leave it alone in my view.

I personally think Craig could look fine in a uniform; all depends upon presentation. It's a pity that his Bond will never be seen in one, if that's to be the way it goes.

So I was in matera for 3 weeks as a spectator. And overheard a load of information from the crew who didn’t seem to care how loud they were talking. When a camera assistant was asked what his favourite scene to film was, he replied ‘the control room scene’. And watching Dr No last night and hearing one of Dr No’s staff say ‘we are ready for you in the control room’ really made me think this could be a Dr No Time To Die film I do have plenty more spoilers from Matera but don’t want to ruin too much

Eye candy will always be a part of it. Or are we going to end up with a 25-stone Bond girl?
Didn't know she was an actress. Can we assume the next announcement is that Sting will be singing the Title song?

Judging by this and other pics, I didn’t know she was actually a „she“... )

Yeah I think she means 'not just eye candy', as she's not exactly horrible-looking herself!

She’s a performer in her own right. I could see her style working as a title song for NTTD
