I thought I remember Q mentioning he had cats in Skyfall? Not ruling out a time jump. I'm thinking Q tinkers with products at home and Bond stops his house for a gadget.

Yes, he did mention cats, in Spectre.

I guess for Bond25, 007 could break into Q's home and we could have a quip about Bond always liking pussies. ;)

Such a Q at home scene would also explain those odd reports of Whishaw's alleged, and edited out, comments on the Graham Norton talk show when he was supposed to have said that Q's Bond25 appearance would be a bit weird.

There's a cat basket and litter tray in Q's lab in SP, so he also has the cats at work with him.

Well spotted! Cats at work just seem a bit odd to me. We've seen M's home and Bond's, time to see Q's. And find out what his name is.

“I think they’re probably trying to figure out what to do with the storyline. At least I know that my character is the same. Someone did tell me there might be a scene with Q’s cats.” My emphasis, pure coincidence he uses the word someone. :D

That's a bit scary, that they're still trying to figure out what to do with the storyline.

It doesn't have to mean they are still trying to figure out the storyline. Like everyone else in the cast (except probably DC) Whishaw has not seen or been given a script. Q (and possibly his cats) may or may not have a big role in Bond 25. Many times scenes are written and even filmed and never make the final cut of a film. Funny thing is, there have been instances of "great" scripts floating around Hollywood that were much ballyhooed going into production that turned out to be not so great films. One that comes to mind is Shane Black's script "The Last Boy Scout" which was not a very good film. On the other hand, Iron Man 1 apparently went into production without a completed script (pretty much just an outline) and turned out pretty good.
Even if there is a final/completed script I have a feeling that EON would not give it to the cast in advance just for security reasons, given the way things get leaked these days and all the bad pub and leaks they had during the SPECTRE production. All it takes is one actor not happy with their role, screen time, etc and it gets out that the script is a disaster.

Actors sign NDAs. I think it’s unlikely an actor would risk the legal ramifications for a leak just because they are unhappy with their part. The Spectre script leaked because of an illegal hack, not because of the actions of anyone associated with the production.

The more plausible explanation for some cast members being in the dark - other than script turmoil - seems to be that Fiennes and Whinshaw have bit parts and don’t need The script months in advance of when they will be filming. As ASP 9mm pointed out, Fiennes is not available until the summer. Whinshaw’s scenes could involve Fiennes, so it possible neither will be on set for many months. And both are signed up already. Their participation does not seem to be contingent on a script in the same way someone like Rami Malek’s could be.

It would be a nice change of pace to have a Bond film where M and Q are less a part of the story or at least are not "in the field".
Despite the current M having a relatively recent military background, the head of MI6 should not be running around, gun in hand.

Here is the full quote, which notes that he will not begin shooting Bond 25 until after he finishes his run in 'Norma Jeane Baker of Troy' which runs from April 6 – May 19, 2019 in New York.

"Perhaps his best known role is Q in the Bond films Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015). As soon as he’s finished his Marilyn, he will begin shooting the next one, though no one in a Bond movie can tell you in advance what it’s going to be like. “I think they’re probably trying to figure out what to do with the storyline,” he says. “At least I know that my character is the same. I'm sure it wasn't their intention but I think the recent comments of Fiennes and Whishaw haven't helped the gloom and doom surrounding the pre-production of B25. I am sure they have a clear idea of the story and I'm sure the script will be at least 80% done. Just because Fiennes and Whishaw haven't seen it, doesn't mean anything sinister.
Like people have said, it could just be that they don't need to see it yet as they won't be filming for a few months yet.

Here is another video from Lutvann. The first one and a half minute is recap, but from about 0.50 we see some footage from outside the first of five cordons around the location at Langvann. The most interesting part of the video is at the end. It's from Lutvann and it shows a diver with a underwater camera diving in one of the two holes in the ice. The two men on the ice dressed in yellow reflctor clothes are from Oslo fire Department. Other publications has called the lake at the other location at Langvann a "bog-lake", so it must be a bad location for underwater filming. Lutvann is on the other is known for its clear water.

Can anyone identify any of the three men who look like they're reviewing the camera footage from around 1:50 onwards? Second unit director etc??

Yes, I saw that article. The news is …… the producers don't want us to get any news from the location. There's a lot of security around the location, especially after a car from a newspaper managed to get past most of the security checks. I think that was on an earlier video. If journalists have any questions they can mail a letter the old-fashioned way, the answer will come some time after the filming is done.

For a while I thought I was going to visit my older sister who lives near Oslo in a couple of days, so I could try to visit a location. Just now I found out it's better I visit her a few days before Easter instead because of practical issues. I've seen the map of where the cordons around Langvann are and I've read about the security, so I doubt I would've get to see anything interesting anyway. I hope they'll film in a more cinematic and nearer location for a future Bond film and I'll get to visit the filming then.

"Thank you Norway. You're a truly beautiful land," is not necessarily past tense.

You could be standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon and you could say, "Thank you America. You're a truly beautiful land."

But, what is this alleged Fukunaga Instagram account?

I'm a little suspicious when people don't provide links. I Google image searched that Norway flag image and couldn't find anything like it.

Fukunaga can expect a chilly reseption by his Norwegian girlfriend after posting that photo :D
Rows of flags like that can often be seen on airports and some hotels, perhaps that's where he took the photo?

My Guess is Fukunaga filmed the scenes set on land and on the ice in Langvann, now the second unit is filming under the ice at Lutvann.

Here is some footage of diving in Lutvann. These videos are of course not from the filming of Bond25, but you may get an idea of the conditions there.

This video shows freediving under the ice. It's not clear if it's from Lutvann, but the diver i likely Norwegian and likes to dive there. Again, it gives us an idea of the conditions.

It could just be that Fukunaga was simply there to oversee things, to make sure that whatever was being filmed was being done so in according to his vision. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

One things for sure, I am more than ready for the press conference and some solid news now.

These days they don't just storyboard movies, they 'pre-visualise' them with FPS game-like computer graphics. This video explains how that can be done.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3czLCdX5QG4

So, the 2nd Unit could have a very detailed understanding of what they need to do.

And Bond25 is 'filming' using digital cameras, so they can even incorporate representative SFX for the director immediately after the scene is filmed. In this Wired Youtube video, at 2 min 10 seconds, they show Cameron using this tech for Avatar, and that film is now a decade old.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HghLB7Gcqc

I think the divers were going under the ice for footage for a composite scene that will be put together later with actors in a swimming pool back at Pinewood. They did something similar with Skyfall when Bond goes through the ice with the gunman.

It looks to me like the scenes in Norway are not for a Madeline's dream or flashback, but a present day scene. The cars likely to be used in front of the camera are fairly new, the English/Iranian girl who is most likey in that scene looks nothing like Madeline and now (possibly) Daniel Craig's stunt double has been seen at the Langvann set:

    https://www.filmweb.no/filmnytt/article1392498.ece

    (from Torgeirtrap in MI6Community:)
Some interesting stuff. There's a reporter on skis, going into the area of filming in Nittedal/Hakadal. throughout the clip we learn a few things.

First thing of interest she mentions (or suggests), is that there will 6 mins of film from/shot in Norway (or TV time as she says), but she doesn’t elaborate on how she learned this. All she says is: "That’s big news! Just by hiking in Hakadal."

She then meets a security guard (sitting in the snow eating), asking him if they’ll be here all week. He replies:"At least another week, maybe."

She mentions this again straight afterwards - that "they might spend two weeks, not one!". The following subtitle adds "(take it with a pinch of salt)".

Then there’s a cut to the reporter looking through binoculars: "That’s Daniel Craig. He stands there wearing a suit!"
    "Or…"

    His stunt double?

Are we sure that Norway filming is actually for Bond and not a Phantom of the Opera sequel? :))

Seriously though, wow...that is some big news! Assuming that the girl is probably a young Madeleine and the masked men are the cabin attackers? That’s if those scenes are actually a flashback without Bond.

Thought the young girl in the pic was actually Sophie Turner at first...assumed we had some really surprising casting news on our hands.

    From the Express article:

“Accompanying video - which can be seen above - shows a young girl running away from a house while the unnerving masked man limps behind her.

At one point she stands on what seems to resemble a sheet of ice, before falling down - perhaps the point at which VFX could be used to have her disappear underwater.

The presumed villain is then seen shooting at the floor and bending down - indicating he could try saving her, despite earlier giving chase.”

That Daily Express newspaper story has a picture of the masked guy without his mask.
    https://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/films/1106974/James-Bond-25-photos-filming-video-Norway-Daniel-Craig-007-villain

Is it this guy, Sebastien Soudai?
    https://twitter.com/Bond25Film/status/1109562653113008128

I would imagine someone will identify the girl at some stage. She doesn't look like the girl identified before, the Iranian girl. There's no girl on the Bond25 IMDb page.
    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2382320/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

My guess is, he is one of the two intruders, and the limp and, I think, smashed mask, mean there's action inside the cabin, which presumably, will be filmed at Pinewood, and the other intruder will be killed by young Madeleine with the gun kept with the bleach under the sink, as revealed in Spectre.

That was a very interesting video. It seems likely the girl killed one attacker and shot the masked man in the foot inside the cabin. White clothes and a white mask is obvious winter camoulflage, but I wonder if the mask was broken in that fight or he really is a huge Phantom of the Opera fan? :D
The girl could be the young Madeline, but I'm not convinced. When she crouches at the end, is it a way for her to disapear from the camera frame, making it possible to cut to a scene shot at Lutvann or in a Pinewood studio tank where she falls through the ice? And when the masked man shoots at the ice around him, Skyfall style, is it a way to quickly make a hole in the ice so he can get hold of the girl? Does he need her dead body as proof of her death or is he trying to save her, suggesting it's a kidnapping attempt?

Great stuff. The mask, etc really looks scary and creepy in a Halloween way. Looking at the pictures close up, it does appear the mask is broken.

The mask reminds me of the face protection mask Taiwanese special forces uses. I imagine the mask protects the face and head from shots of some calibres, but the mask will take a beating or break. The girl shot him in the leg and the face, but the mask saved him. Or , more realisticly the mask protects from shrapnel and debris
