I really wonder about what looks like fluorescent lamp rods in the pool are? I'm guessing it's central to Safin's plan. Is it where he grows the dangerous algea that's been rumoured?

Looks like a Japanese Pagoda on the chair behind Safin on his close-up, and there's a plant in the room, but I may be looking too far into it for hope of the garden of death. The Japanese mask too... Here's hoping these are clues to The Garden Of Death.
Other clues could include the rumoured zen garden on the algae farm, the filming at the castle, and the Shatterhand title rumour from ages ago.

I have a glimmer of hope for this movie. After Spectre slept-walked through it's performance and presentation. This Bond feels alive. With something to prove.
Looks promising indeed. There are so many things. Is gonna take me a while to let all that settle in my mi d. I know tactical stuff is abused lately in hollywood but some elements are welcome. If they imply Bonds military background in a subtle way I will be very pleased. I admire the SAS and the SBS so much

The room with the pool and the flourecent lights are made very much in the same style, making it even mer likely the pool and lights room is key to Safin's plan. I also noticed some tubes Attached on tables in a room where two shadows (Bond and Safin, I believe) talk.
What are the tubes, I wonder?
The scene in Matera where Bond gets shot at and he jumps off it while being on a rope …… sort of a callback to Bond getting shot ahd falling off the bridge in the SF PTS?
Looks like Dr. No is growing algae. He could be dabbling in eugenics if he is playing god. The bonsai tree is a subtle metaphor. You can just chop off a branch when there's something you don't like.

I don't know much about nuclear energy, but I'd imagine uranium rods would quickly overheat in the open like that. The personel in the hazmat suits would get sick and die quickly too, robots would be used instead. My guess is that gene modified algae is grown there. The algae needs light to grow and the workers needs protective suits against the algae.

The actual film might add some blood effects. It’s probably just something they can’t put in a wide release trailer.
