Spectre bow tie

Looked and looked for the bow tie from Spectre... Had looked at this one a few time times but hesitated due to the cost and always thought it must be a TF...

But it isnt....
Nice package arrived today and just in time for black tie event too.

Beautiful bow tie! It has the lengthwise ribs just like the one in Spectre. Are you going to share where it's from?

I see one slight difference with the bow tie in Spectre. The angle of the points at the ends are a bit different. The Spectre bow tie looks pointier.

Looks like he got it from the same place I got mine!

They couldn't confirm or deny but said it looked like it was def theirs. They also said it might have been the season before hence the slight diff angles.

    Hint: Kingsman

Interesting! I just assumed that bow tie was TF like the majority of that outfit. I wonder if the bow tie was originally TF but switched out? Like BC replacing most of the TF tan suit. Either way its a surprise much like the Thomas Pink tie was.

I think it was indeed switched out like a few things in SPECTRE.

They auctioned the Tux with the TF (incorrect) tie and also spares signed by DC if I remember rightly - was not even remotely like the one in SPECTRE

I pre-ordered the tie from TF and later when I told them it was not the same as the film they kind of went all quiet and never commented further. They didnt even ask if I still wanted it lol

Thanks for clarifying! Spectre certainly threw us some curveballs in that regard. After QOS and SF we've become so accustomed to seeing Tom Ford handle all of Bond's tailoring. When that turns out not to be the case its a bit of a surprise.

I don't believe the Skyfall bow tie was from Tom Ford either. It would appear that Jany doesn't like their bow ties!

Sorry, not only is his bow tie a different shape, it's a different colour!

Thanks to this thread (and some of the hints) I was able to snag one as well! I got lucky with a retailer that still had one. :D
