The Harringtons come in standard European numbered sizing. My EU52 is a UK/US42. The jackets are a more classic fit rather than the slim fit of modern Tom Ford. On my 6'5" frame the sleeve and body length are spot on. The chest is a little big, but no more than some of my size EU54 jackets that I wear. Many people had to get the sleeves of their jacket shortened.
I'm normally a 50EU/40US. Even the Ford is unfortunately not long enough- I'm about a 37.5 sleeve - usually have to get a tall/mtm or size up 2-3 sizes but with something already on the looser side it doesn't work out great. Appreciate the input - it is a great jacket!
A thought on the pricing - the original prices on this thread were quoted 3 years ago from an email sent by Luigi in 2017. Looking at what Harrington versions you could buy on TF UK or US today even with the new price it is matched or actually cheaper - which for a special order with the right zipper and well matched buttons, given bone always has variation anyway, seems fair.
Yeah...but a $600 increase for a zipper??? That's basically the price of the quantum polo that everyone thought was so overpriced. I'd be very surprised if all are still in.

While I gather you've been at this for months, would someone mind just reviewing what the estimated final pricing for the Navy Harrington is supposed to be with screen accurate zipper for the USA customer? Someone could even PM me with details if that would be easier. If I could gather a bit more info, I would most likely join the list of hopefuls. Don't know how I'll measure up to your collective patience, though. ;)
The jacket was €1631.15 for US customers and s/h with the tall box, suitor, and hanger will be €110. If you want standard shipping folded in a box it will be €60. The jacket is gonna be around $2500 plus you'll need to pay tax and duty when it is delivered to you.
Mike's estimation should be very close since there will be a 25% price jump for a SA zipper.
Import taxes for the US will be a crap shoot. Last run people were charged anywhere from $150-350 or so in import taxes. What you were charged seemed to be pretty random.

I'll follow the updates, but for me if the zipper is going to cost $500 AUD to remake then I'm going to have to withdraw.
The substitute zipper at the same price is not of great interest either unfortunately.
