Yes, there is tremendous negativity about the reboot.
Having always been a "half full glass" person ) , I see the flaws and realize, that we won't see Selleck and Hillerman back, but appreciate many small elements from the old show being still there.
But the discussion is a bit like a "There is no other Bond than Connery" - you get the point.
Having said that, I very much enjoy how they have outlined Juliet Higgins and her character development over the first episodes.
And she's smoking hot.

Maybe I should give it another try then.
The original show is so close to my heart it will take a lot to view this as something separate.

The reboot will never be the same but I enjoy it as it is: a modern version of the old show and I am glad to see many elements from the original show respectfully put there.
Well, over at Magnum-Mania, the negative opinions are strong and it resembles me to the Daniel Craig discussions that we had before and during CR.
Hope that you'll enjoy it as much as I do

Disappointed not to have seen any footwear in the photo, then we’d have known who is who for sure. Hope you gents had a great time and put the world to rights! -{
You're on a magnum pi forum as well, higgi baby?
I always loved Higgins long suffering female companion, Agatha. I always got the impression she loved him but it wasn't requited.

As to your last sentence, you surely haven't seen "Echoes of the Mind" (series 5, episodes 1&2) with a very young Sharon Stone then.
One of my favorite episodes and the entire Higgins-Agatha relationship is well explained.
I like Agatha's character a lot and the development from an annoying fangirl to a very valued adviser and ally over the time.
Whenever I am on Hawaii, I love to visit Robin's nest and the tidal pool, besides that my favorite spot is Agatha's home which I have just revisited last October:
Her house is simply gorgeous and the neighborhood is phantastic, too.

Prost! Did you order "Molle und Korn" to prepare for the assasination of a Soviet sniper?
Alas, no. Higgins suggested I try eisbein, but I'd eaten that (for the first time) a couple of days earlier so I had a gemischte wurst platter. And beer.
He ate humble pie and disclosed his deep Dalton devotion, admitting that his apparent hatred of the Timster was only a pose.
Edit: I have been asked to point out that one of the above sentences is a lie.

Actually I was the one wearing trainers (not green, though)!
Truthfully, we had a great time and are discussing doing it again.

As you look at the screen - Barbel is definitely on the left. Even 7/2 on is a good bet!
Those odds are terrible...especially as you lost
