Amsterdam Chair - Leather Chairs of Bath

Wondering if anyone has experience with this company or in particular this chair - it’s the one from Spectre if you guys forgot. Anyways, I am looking to purchase one but the shipping alone will be about £950 to the USA. This would put the total price around or a bit above the nicer end of things here in the states so wondering what the quality is.

I've been thinking about getting that chair ever since I saw it. With the cost of delivery being quite prohibitive, I'm planning on getting a local furniture manufacturer to replicate it as closely as possible. While it won't be cheap, it'll be cheaper. -{

If I get any further than just thinking about it I'll let you know.

Good luck! I’ve gotten 6+ quotes state side and they are all within $200 of total cost, and that’s not the actual chair. Just a replica that may or may not be the same.

Without VAT and with shipping I’d be looking at $2,790 USD shipped to my door. The chair price is well within range vs the nicer furniture here in states. The shipping addition makes it run with the top gear leather furniture or overpriced names. With that said - I still get cold feet when I think about $1,000+- for only shipping. Especially not knowing / trying out chair.

So, according to the person I was speaking with the total out of my pocket would be $2,793.xx. That’s chair shipped, to door, not port. To my understanding the price included everything.

We know some people in the industry and have been quoted a figure of around $2000-$2500 CAD. That's way cheaper than the almost $4000 CAD it would cost me to get the real deal.

It’s such a shame. I went in to the store in Bath and chatted to the owner. I was going to arrange an interview for The Bond Experience, but they’ve either moved or shut down. Great guy

They moved locations recently according to their website. I’m surprised no one here has ever purchased one of these chairs! I have pretty much made my decision but would like some feedback.

I’ve got the chair and very happy with it. Got a nearly new one from eBay a few years ago.
