What Handgun Will Bond Use in Bond 25? [Potential Spoilers]

Now that he's retired, it doesn't necessarily follow that Bond will be using the Walther PPK anymore.
Photos from the Jamaica shoot show him with a full-sized pistol I haven't seen confirmed.
It might be that he'll just use whatever weapon presents itself, but I thought I'd start this thread to gather some guesses, informed and otherwise.

Interesting. The P226 featured in QoS, SP and now NTTD. SIG has flown under the radar but it’s establishing itself as a Bond brand.
I suppose that’s better than a Glock, but if Bond is going full sized I wish they’d have chosen the PPQ instead.
Im thinking bond has the speargun when he detects someone in his house and that someone ends up being Felix.
The Browning high power was a staple for a lot of British military including special forces like the sas and sbs, it would be quite a good fit for a retired bond in this arc as like many of us from a certain he would have spent a lot of time with one in his military days.
But the P226 is not a compact weapon. It’s a full-sized handgun that would be difficult if not impossible for someone with Craig’s frame to effectively conceal. I don’t think the Sig is meant to be a “replacement” for the PPK. And it’s not a modern update since the 226 is almost 40 years old. I thinks it’s more that Bond tossed the Walther - his service weapon - into the Thames at the end of Spectre and retired. The 226 is used by countless military and police forces around the world, so it would be easy to come by for someone like Bond.
If anything Bond could return to a Beretta as this was his original choice, something like the px4, which is quite a handsome gun as well.
Well Glock would be going by the current UK forces service pistol route. Also, having shot all 5 (ppk, sig226, glock17 gen4, P99 and PPQ) my hands down personal favourite is the P99 although there are days when that sweet sweet Glock pointability could nab the favours. Having said that; PPK is the only real "agent" pistol of these all, even in real life.

Not just Bonds frame, but the cut of his suits wouldn't facilitate even concealing a smartphone, much less a handgun!

But in the end the PPK is too iconic to replace completely, and we have to remember the gun is just as deadly now as in 1962. It's possible the best solution is Bond using the PPK for consealed carry and a service pistol sized Walther for combat missions where consealment isn't that important. Maybe P99 or PPQ?
I concur; if it has to be SIG then make it SIGP230/232? It has the looks and provenance suitable for Bond.

Well Bond has been known to carry P5 in previous outings, but I think that you are quite correct; for the film makers and most of the audience, the fact that PPK and P230 are different guns from completely different manufacturers is probably something that goes completely unnoticed and is therefore not worth the effort.

Centre one kinda looks like a Beretta ARX160.
I'd wager 2*Beretta M12 subgun and H&KG36 short. Although the right hand man could be toting a Beretta PMX or Walther MPK.

Quite right, I went for the M12 initially because to my eye, the guy on the left seemed to be having a forward pistol grip on his gun, but on the second look, I think there are 2 PMX guys.

While an adequate "spy" pistol in the 1950's and 60's, it's a bit long in the tooth for a 2019 super spy adventure. Besides, if Bond is going to continue to shoot down helicopters or maybe a jet plane, the SIG 226 is far more believable handgun to use!

I love the PPK. It’s a wonderful little gun. But you’re not wrong. I thought Jeff Deaver got it right with the PPS. Keeps Bond in the Walther family, but updates it to something a bit more practical for a modern agent.
my favorite is of course the P99, and did like the PP, P38 and P5. but they are all medium to large size. He needs a compact handgun, nothing classier than the PPK or a sig p230 or maybe you guys who know better have other proposals.
Speaking of which, I wonder if any modern polymer firearm has the capability to look convincing as a true James Bond gun, imho, an all metal classic gun is requierd. Only the P99 looks classy enough, again, I am very biased in this last statement.

Also, a biker with rifle on his back, looks like a type of M16:
