Tommy Bahama Catalina Twill Shirt

Looks like the TB site just restocked the shirt in all sizes. Some minor changes from last season it looks like.

Good hunting gentlemen.

If it hasn't previously been mentioned elsewhere, these have a very relaxed fit. My standard size is Medium, and I downsized to a Small.
    I edit, therefore I am.

Anybody else questioning if this is actually available. I placed an order, received an order confirmation and international shipping centre alert and then.... the order disappears from my credit card and the alert that my order has shipped fails to materialise.

I have experienced the exact same problem with the previous run.
I received all the confirmations, PP pending and then (after several days) a notification that the order was cancelled.
I contacted them via email and received an answer saying the shirt is no longer available.

If someone is interested, I have a white version from the previous run in size M and New.

    Cheers

This looks like a great option actually, if you plan to wear it over just collecting.. I'd feel better about machine washing this over the 100% silk.

Just guessing, but as an owner of the silk version, I think it would.

So XS would fit a 38 chest?

Think I grabbed a M (usually a XL in other brands)

    These shirts are huge :D

To anyone who owns the shirt - are you glad you have it? If not for Bond - lets say it never went anywhere near Bond 25 - would you be happy to wear it?

It sounds like these shirts run very big. Is that the case with the current offering on the website and with the 100% silk coming in February? I normally wear and XL and am thinking going with a L. Anybody have insight and recommendations?

    I wouldn't rule out a M either

I'm typically a M and the S fits perfectly.. Definitely have to size down at least one step.

I just posted a Short Sleeve version in the for sale section and it shows the measurements of a Medium to help you.

It's an untucked black shirt, a la the Bahamas poker scene in CR. So it's not at all out of character. That said: I wouldn't have THOUGHT to look at the Tommy Bahama brand for such a thing without the Bond connection.

Not out of character, no. But in this weird fabric? Honestly would never go anywhere near such a shirt normally. I put this in a similar category to the CR madagascar chase shirt - they look great in the film on DC, but not sure they work well IRL.

    Silk is a weird fabric?

I've had 100% silk shirts from Tommy Bahama for years. How is it weird? Clothing has been made out of silk for centuries.

It's very nice. I have the 100% silk one, and had to go with Size M for perfect fit. I usually measure 42" chest, and typically wear large in most brands shirts. Wouldn't have necessarily looked at this brand until the Bond connection, bc most of their styles are very "loud" and relaxed. I would totally buy another of these shirt in white, maybe next summer.

    Hi Welshboy
Would you say you’re a fitted, tightish M or relaxed, loose M ? I fancy one of these too but can wear M or S depending on brand / style etc. Thanks

Im actually a XL but took the M to get a normal fitted look.
You need to drop one or two sizes down in this shirt as it fits like a tent
