First off, i'm new to this forum so i don't know "the man" and i assumed it's a company where usually there is people that handle emails , support and all that...

And i don't think i said anything bad about him either

I’m in the same boat. Would be nice if PP returned, but there likely is fair reason.

I believe Dan is a one man band and I think he has another job to keep him occupied. He's always been very helpful and I've bought multiple things from him over the years. His attention to detail is outstanding. I'm sure many of the others on this forum would say the same about him. I'd give him a little more time to respond and I would trust him with my credit card details but appreciate you are new to this forum and his products so are naturally right to be cautious. If you haven't seen any of the bond experience YouTube reviews of his products you may want to take a look too. In the meantime welcome to the forum.

The man is Dan Love and his username on here is Silverfinger, he has a great reputation from being honest and putting massive effort into developing the reproductions, I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation, he's just a one man band AFAIK.
It was either that.....or the priesthood

I ordered the QoS Harrington the other day and paid with my credit card. I usually also prefer Paypal payments but in that case, I'm 100% confident in Dan and Storenvy.
My garment was shipped next day and I received a message from Dan, confirming that.
As someone said it, I think Dan handles the "little" company by himself and he's got a full time job beside. Maybe he's also on holidays or receives a ton of emails so, give him little more time to answer you but once again, I vouch for him 100%.

    Cheers
    Fred

I have purchased half a dozen things — maybe more! —from Dan Love over the years and never had a single problem, either in terms of quality or the business transaction. Granted, we all have had different experiences but I hate to see him slagged when I have received such enjoyment from his products (honestly, I prefer his version of the Talamone sweater to the actual Tom Ford I own). He’s been open in his posts and emails about reexamining the profitability of his business, and we all know that PayPal takes a bite from all transactions. Still, it would be good to hear from him about the new system.

I have witnessed a great deal of giving and appreciation to the Bond community from him and I imagine that there is a good reason (as many have mentioned) for the non-responsiveness. I have just sent him an email as well to check on him and alert him about people's concerns and this thread.

    Hi Guys,

Daniel (ROYALE Filmwear) here... it has been a while since I've been active on AJB for those who don't know me as SilverFinger. David Zaritsky sent me this thread as a heads up, thank you for that my friend. I'm only too happy to address the above:

A while back my ebay account was hacked, the username of the account was even changed... My ebay is evolve007 which I have had long before royale, in any case I had a scare with unauthorized charges as my PayPal was linked to my ebay and the ebay account had been hacked, the purchases were deemed legitmate and I lost that money. Ordinarily, I would keep a significant sum in PayPal for any potential refunds etc and I never immediately transferred to my bank account. The second problem here was my PayPal was linked to my bank account, so even if there was no money in that account it would come directly out of my bank account. I don't know how the hell they hacked my account, but what I do know is PayPal is owned by eBay... so while this was an eBay hack, paypal probably operates the same sort of security systems. Lastly, only accepting credit card payments through Stripe actually works out much better for my tax records... so in a way while I have lost that money, I'm a bit happier with that payment system on the whole. If that's the make or break for a ROYALE purchase... no problem, that's cool.

Emails: Yes, I confess and I will apologise, I have been a bit relaxed with email response lately... That's mostly to with with whats going on in my life outside of ROYALE... It is probably no secret, but with the recent 50% off sale I am looking to clear some stock and part of that is I am running out of steam a bit with ROYALE... so yes I am a bit gulity of switching off and I have actually enjoyed going into NTTD as a fan first and foremost, can't wait. If I have missed your email and it is mission critical / return / exchange / manufacturing error... shoot me another email asap and I'll try to sort it out as soon as possible. sales@royalefilmwear.com

    Ross:
On the 11 August 2016 I offered you a PayPal refund on a jacket which you did not purchase directly from me... and you declined... asking for a deal on your next purchase instead. I offered you free shipping... on the next one to cover the cost of repair for that early harrington. Unfortunately, your next purchase wasn't till the following year, about 10 months later, a cardigan on 13 Jun 2017. Just attach a note with the purchase to remind me man... my memory isn't THAT good, got a bit going on.

In any case, I hope that has addressed any concerns, I won't be accepting PayPal as I've lost both money and faith in their systems... I do apologise for being a bit MIA on the email front, do email me again now if you have any issues that need immediate help sales@royalefilmwear.com

Lastly... I am going into NTTD as a fan first... loving the build up... If something does catch my eye that I think would be great I will look at it, but I'm happy to go into it purely as a wide-eyed fan for the first time in a few years.

    All the best,

    Dan. -{

In regards to actually accepting the credit card payments, to be clear, I personally do not receive your credit card details, that's the job of Stripe, the payment processor. All I see is the last 4 digits of the card number, the name and the expiry, that's it. I understand if people are apprehensive thinking I see the credit card details... no it's just a standard 3rd party merchant facility.

    Here's what I see:

Well said Dan. You’ve contributed a huge amount to Bond fans with the work you’ve done and I’ve no doubt it has been a huge amount of effort, focus and time.

Enjoy being a fan and more time for other things in life!

Purchased from Dan on many occasions - I trust him implicitly

Enough said really, without great guys like him the rest of us wouldn’t have half the Bond collection we have today.

Haven't bought anything yet (hoping one day the black shawl cardigan comes back), but you all shouldn't fear using a CC online so much.. As long as the CC is a REAL CC, and not a checking card, you're protected and can dispute any fraudulent activity. Stripe is also a worldwide processor with great record.

Only just seen this and I have to say Dan has always been fantastic. I've bought many items from him over the past few years, paid by credit card and there has never been an issue. Communication always first class. Just received the Madagascar Shirt (a gift from my wife who paid by debit card) and I've ordered another Harrington too. Just wanted to say a big thanks to Dan and please keep up the good work with No Time to Die coming up
