There are two upcoming screenings of TMWTGG and OHMSS at Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square around Xmas time. Has anybody been there to see Bond films before?
Was thinking of booking as I don't think I've ever seen my hero Sir Roger Moore on the big screen before and I'm not sure how often these come up. If they were a more common occurrence I'd choose one of his better films instead...

Moonraker on the 29th September at the BFI. + OHMSS
I'm hoping so yes and to see OHMSS on a big screen will be great :-)
I'd love to see some of the earlier movies on big screen - I've just turned 53 so was too young for any pre-TSWLM films (1977). That competed with Star Wars for me although I do remember both of them on the big screen and loved them both - Star Wars winning out at the time but Bond has endured more for me......
Where do you get your info about planned screenings?

No, but I'll be there for TMWTGG on 29th.
This was another PCC screening in the smaller upstairs cinema. Small enough for the experience of the sound design to be somewhat compromised by three conspicuous cases of extended bag rustling and munching, and by the odd case of contrived cackling along to the film's racist and sexist jokes. Ironic, since the PCC always prefaces its screenings with a reminder to punters about the need for respectful behaviour among the audience, using, amusingly, the clip of Max Cady ruining others' cinema experience in Scorsese's 'Cape Fear'. But I mustn't be too much of a grinch. It's rare even for indie cinemas to have a no-eating policy, and the PCC is no exception. And to be fair, TMWTGG invites audiences to laugh at jokes which now feel embarrassingly dated.
Overall, I still like taking opportunities to see classic Bond on the big screen.
