Yeah, but you mention it in the context and as evidence or to strengthen your point that Omega is superior to Rolex ( hey, even Craig wore model xx during the announcement).
As he was obviously asked to wear the Commander to push the poor sales, that remark was unnecessary in the broader context of your argument ( which is wrong anyhow ).
Touché. Just so I’m not misunderstood. In no way shape or form am I claiming Omega is a better brand then Rolex or vice versa. I think both brands are great at what they focus on and it is up to us the consumer to choose which we “prefer” to wear. Lets agree to disagree. Cheers {[]
I don’t recall anyone in this particular thread calling for Rolex to replace Omega (despite how much I might desire that, I know it’s not going to happen). Further, the issue is not that Omega is necessarily a poor choice for Bond. It has been a fine choice on several occasions. It’s just the direction Omega has taken in the last 5-7 in terms of design. Many of their watches look cheap...yet their prices go up. I can appreciate that there are interesting things happening behind the caseback...but I’d take an ETA movement in a good looking watch over a master-chronometer-whatever that’s uglier than sin any day.
If you claim to like this particular LE, I am left to conclude that your are (1) a social media “influencer” seeking to court favor with the brand, (2) an Omega AD, or (3) a person with no taste.
Lets not get down to that - everyone is entitled to their opinions - lets just agree to disagree - for example I prefer Timothy Dalton and think he is way better than DC and all DC movie suck - except CR )

I guess I have no taste, then. Shall I show myself out?
I don't understand having a display caseback when most of it is obscured by the writing.
Yes it's definitely far too much on the caseback—you can't see a thing underneath. I like the suggestion someone said earlier in this thread that they should've got rid of the decal thing and had the crest engraved on the rotor. That could have looked incredible.
I'm glad someone liked my suggestion

There are a couple of elements I like, I like the bezants on the the dial, and I like the "secret 50" the gold plaque would have been better being not gold but I get the 50th connotation, other than that it's garish and about as subtle as kick in the groin, not for me and another naff bond le sadly.
Yeah I think the bezants in their own look kind of classy and just the right hint of heraldry.

They’re doing really badly worldwide it seems. Selling slower than the limited AT in 2015.
That doesn’t surprise me. The 2015 AT, while not particularly attractive, was much better looking than this thing. While it’s tempting to read into the lack of sales some kind of broader sentiment about the state of the public’s interest in Bond, I think it’s really just down to the watch being a dog.
Some interesting details-no waves are mentioned in the comments, titanium, and brown in colour. I went to my AD last week and they weren’t sure if they were getting the NTTD watch in December or the OHMSS 50th, stating we often know better than they do. The closest Omega boutiques to me are Houston and San Antonio and I haven’t spoken to them about it.
Interesting. All I know is what's going on around me area. Both stores have sold their allocations and both are fielding phone calls and walk-ins for the watch.
Probably trying to placate you as they know you like the watch and are interested. It’s not going to do them any favours by telling you there isn’t much interest. No business will do that to a customer. Unless you are in a weird Bermuda Triangle where that particular area is getting all sixteen people worldwide that like the watch redirected to them.
The screen-accurate watches will always be more desired than the gussied-up limited editions with Bond branding on them (the "Commander" watch, for example). For me it's about whether or not I liked the film the watch is from, which meant passing on the SPECTRE watch (which was a beauty), and which makes the next watch an unknown...

Agreed. I'd slit someone's wrists if I had to look at that watch every day and be reminded of that film.
The Spectre is my fiancé’s favourite of the Bond watches. Alas, I’ve only got the SMPc in blue. I do love it, though, and even bought a blue and grey strap for it.
Spectre was very popular. All 7007 watches sold out and it's actually selling for way above it's original price on the secondary market
Gosh really? Fair enough: it’s a beautiful thing. Best of the Bond watches to my eye.
Oh, I agree 100%. It's quite a good looking watch and, when you wear the nato strap, really catches the eye.
Yes it works so well. Unfortunately I just don’t get on with NATO straps, although the MN straps are a little better. But even they end up with the buckle on a really uncomfortable bit of my wrist. Maybe there’s a way of shortening them.

Just position the watch on a different part of the strap. You can place the buckle where you want.

No it doesn’t really work like that. The watch can only sit on a specific bit of the French strap and the hook buckle needs to sit on the flat underside of the wrist as it’s quite broad when fastened. So as a result I have to wear it a little looser than I’d prefer. I tried a Zulu strap too and that was terrifically uncomfortable with yet another metal loop sitting right on the inner corner of my wrist where the veins are. Horrible things.
Colour scheme reminds me a bit of the black/brown Speedmaster released a few years ago (yes Bond's is obviously a Seamaster).
It’s a lot lighter in colour than that.
Yes I do have eyes Asp I said the colour scheme reminds me a bit of the black/brown Speedmaster, not that the colour is identical to it. Anyway very keen to see Omega's professional shot of the Seamaster when it's released so we can get a proper look at the details!

Asp9mm, does the picture from EMPIRE show the stunt strap or another one (rubber, leather, etc) available along with the Milanese for sale with the actual watch?

I know it has its critics, but I think that's a stunning watch.
Congrats on the purchase -{
