OK folks- a bit of a long shot, but I wasn't in a position to put my name down when the orders were being taken. My situation has changed now, so if anyone ordered a pair in a 48, but, for whatever reason, wants to back out, please let me know, and I'll step in and take your order of your hands with immediate payment.

    Thanks,

    Blair

I received a message from Massimo Alba this morning regarding the order and have made my payment. Update to all involved is that the price will be 235 Euro for the pants whether you are in the EU or the US. Shipping is 20 Euro for EU customers and 35 Euro for US based customers.

I don't understand why they are not taking Italian TAX off the price for non EU customers, I thought this was a legal requirement?

Now that you mention it the outside EU pricing should be lower!

I haven’t received an email yet. Is it a slow rollout? Or has everybody else got there’s?
    Yes. Considerably.

I contacted Alessandro directly some days ago and he sent me a reply very fast the same day. I paid the money and just half an hour later a message that they received the money already.

I haven't gotten my shipment confirmation yet, but I'm also going to be excited to see your pictures. They'll take longer to get to the States no doubt.

Hi fellas. I've had the suit and trousers on order for a while. I just received an email from Alessandro letting me know they're ready to ship and I just need to pay.
He wants me to send funds to their paypal address (alessandro.figliuolo@massimoalba.com) which I assume is by 'friends and family'.

Just though I should check with you that it all sounds proper? I have no reason to be suspicious but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

No need to be suspicious at all - But don’t pay ‘friends and family’, pay normal
PayPal so you are covered. This is a business transaction, Alessandro will be fine to take the ‘hit’ with the charges. That’s what real businesses do.

Enjoy! Only have the grey cord trousers - but they are lush!

Edit - Oh wait... When I sent money via PayPal it was to the main MA account, not personal to Alessandro. Just check that as you proceed. It’s easy to tell - though I would trust Alessandro.
    Yes. Considerably.

Cheers Ferinstal. I asked Alessandro to confirm which Paypal account to use and he gave me their main one.
    Very excited! Cannot wait!

Love the trousers, they are so soft and a lot thinner than I thought.
Gonna be great for office meetings and chilled out sunny days.
I can see why they were chosen for hot climate.
Unfortunately a 50 is a tad too big in the waist and long, look a bit clownish :))
So gonna get them tailored and then show pics.
I expect DC had these tailored perfectly as they are unusual.

So I finally decided to open the package from MA and I was nervous if they would fit but thankfully the trousers fit! Obviously the pants are soft and thin but I'm wondering why the rear pockets are not accessible?

they are accessible. Cut the thread, which closes the pockets carefully with a nail scissor for instance.
if you try on a suit in a store you will see that many brands close their pockets. they want to prevent a wear out after 20 customers try suits on and put their hands in it. its totally okay to cut it after you have bought them
