The Propstore of London has come a hell of a long way since the Donkey first came across them in the year 2000 with a small advert in Empire Magazine for a Sideshow Terminator Endoskull and a few assorted choice movie props. Each month in Empire the selection changed and grew until it became clear that a visit to Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire should be on the cards. I first darkened their door in 2001 and was surprised to find what I can only describe as farm buildings on a country estate. I was greeted by Stephen Lane and Tim Lawes in the downstairs office where two others were busy beavering away. After sharing my interests and my wants list I was shown for want of a better word a downstairs prop warehouse adjacent to the office and then shown upstairs which was a wood staircase with a loft hatch which opened out into what looked like a barn! This space is now Propstore.com's London office and conference room. My visit's intention was in the hope that they may be able to source an Ericsson JB988 gadget phone prop from Tomorrow Never Dies but amazingly they had just sent one to the US to be auctioned ...Bugger it! but I did come away with a few unique pieces from Die Another Day which was the beginning of how many credit cards nearly maxed out??
Over the years I have made many visits, purchases and trades however the auction they have just announced is going to melt the Donkey's credit card, an auction of over 450 James Bond posters on 5th November including some incredibly rare puppies. Buy the catalogue and enjoy because this is something rather special and unique -{

Thank you for this -{
I was going to post something about it, but you beat me to it!
The time has come; it is the end of an era for me.
Almost one year in the planning, after over seven years of searching and waiting for the ideal company.
It's a little surreal to think that I'm ACTUALLY selling the collection!
And that's not it all!

Hello Adam! It must be quite a big time for you: how long a period have you collected all of those over?
It is! I've been taken aback by the response to it.
The collection includes items from over a 50-year plus period till just a couple of months ago.
My Father kicked off my passion for it, and indeed already had pieces, but it was I who curated the collection as you see it today, with myself concentrating on Bond posters for around 15 years. Much (almost all!) of my own income has gone on this collection.

My two favorites "out of the box":
7.GF 8.TLD 9.TND 10.SF
"Where’s Fekkesh?” “Pyramids.” *thwap* “AHHHHHHH!”
Amazing stuff! Well I'm sure it'll turn out to be a great investment!
Thank you!
The DAF Nikon poster is one of my favourites too!
Thank you.
It might well do so, but I never collected for investment purposes (over the last couple of years, I did, although I've bought almost nothing); I collected to curate the best poster collection I could.

I think it's important to publicly point out directly from the horse's mouth just how good Prop Store have been with me. Of all the auction houses I have dealt with (including those I have worked for), Prop Store are by far the most professional and empathetic.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.
