I was kind of disappointed we weren’t seeing Barbel behind smoked glass, stroking a white cat on his lap ... but apart from that very interesting indeed, and an opportune moment to thank him for all the hard work he’s clearly put into the community over the years! {[]

The Bond Experience

This interview was such a pleasure for me to do...mostly because it never felt like an interview. For me it was like meeting up with a gent I have respected for well over a decade in a pub and sharing some pints! A gent who has shared trial and tribulation with me....a gent who has created connective tissue of this forum and made it a necessary escape valve in this crazy world of ours...I loved reading the comments on YouTube of people who did not know about AJB because Barbel's representation of it truly speaks volumes....

For anyone who isn't aware, David has a thriving YouTube channel called (obviously) The Bond Experience (link in his post above) which is highly recommended. Interviews, reviews, and just possibiy some clothes might be mentioned. I'm particularly fond of his joint work with Joe Darlington where they discuss the Bond movies in depth.

Thank you to both The Bond Experience and Barbel for an excellent and enjoyable interview. Knowing this place as I do, it brought many a smile to my face. My UK Politics Thread even got a mention, though that isn't really anything to boast about I suppose! Nice to hear Barbel's voice for the first time too and he's every bit the gentleman I've always believed he is! I certainly hope we get some new members off the back of this as it is great publicity for AJB. Great stuff all round! -{

Life is just so unfair. The rest of us struggle along day-to-day and someone like Barbel gets all the brains and the looks too! No wonder they wanted to cast him instead of DC, just a shame that he returned their call too late.
